Joe E. Hankes, 45, 514 E. Thompson, died Sunday in Centralia, Ill.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Thursday at Green Hills Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. J. Harold bryan officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Hankes was born May 24, 1946, in Sapulpa, and lived here all his life. He was employed as a truck driver for Scheduled Truckways, Inc. He was a member of the National Guard. He attended Ridgeway Baptist church and First Assembly of God.

Survivors include wife, Teri; step-children David Walker of Alabama and Lisa Walker, Michael Walker, Kenny Walker and Lori Walker, all of Sapulpa; sister Dorothy Zyskowski of Sapulpa; brothers Earl and Oren Hankes, both of Sapulpa, and Jim Hankes of Austin, Texas; and two grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at the Zyskowski residence, 217 N. Adams.
