Graveside services for Loren L. Hall, 87, of Chickasha, will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at 2:30 p.m. in the Fairlawn Cemetery with Robert Dye officiating.

Loren L. Hall was born May 8, 1917, in Cooperton, Oklahoma the son of James Arthur Hall and Vallie Ervil Gray. He died Friday, February 25, 2005 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Loren grew up in Enid, Oklahoma and later moved to Britton, Oklahoma where he graduated from Britton High School in 1936.

On December 14, 1941 he married Betty Peacock in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
During his lifetime he served eleven years with the United States Army, also serving two years over seas in Europe. During his years of service he received the American Define Ribbon, the Good Conduct Ribbon, the Europe Ribbon and two Bronze Stars.

After being honorable discharged from Ft. Sill in 1951 he and Betty moved to Chickasha where he was employed with Evans and Hoebing Chevrolet and Cadillac, Melton Ford, and Shepard Supply. He retired in 1984 from Gabriel Ride after eleven years of employment.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chickasha.

Loren was preceded in death by both parents and his wife Betty in September 1998.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law: Walter LeRoy and Sue Hall of Coweta, Oklahoma and Larry Hall of Moore, Oklahoma, five granddaughters and husbands; Hollie and Justin Stout, Melanie and Jarrod Burroughs, Tracie and Matt Gregory, Jamie and Brandon Rush, and Lindy and John Jerlow; one grandson David Hall; five great grandchildren, Madison and Mackenzie Burroughs, Colton and Katie Gregory, and Conner Stout.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
