Medicine Lodge, Barber County, Kansas

Jack D. Groves, 76, died January 6, 1998, Wichita.
He was born January 31, 1921, in Depew, Oklahoma, the son of William and Bessie Landre Martin Groves. He was a former resident of Medicine Lodge and Anthony. He was a retired Sedgwick County Security Officer.
On July 16, 1943, he married Mary Ann Protheroe. She survives. Other survivors include: a son, Eric R., Wichita; two daughters, Sheila Diann Kendall, Renton, Washington, and Elaine Jones, Wichita; two brothers, Gerald Groves, Huntington Beach, California, and James Groves; a sister, Donna Boettcher, Wichita; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 9, 1998, at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel, Wichita.
