Jimmie Green, 49, of Walnut Hill Nursing Center in Winfield, died Aug 20, 1999, at William Newton Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday at Miles Funeral Service. Burial will be in Oilton, Okla.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 am to 9 pm Monday.

Jimmie Green, 49, a resident of Walnut Hill Nursing Center in Winfield, died Aug 20, 1999, at William Newton Memorial Hospital in Winfield.

Services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday at Miles Funeral Service. Burial will be held at 2:30 pm Tuesday in the Oilton, Okla., cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service until 9 tonight.

A memorial has been established for the benefit of his family. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Green was born March 25, 1950, in Cushing, Okla., to James D. and JoAnn (Casey) Green. Following graduation from Argonia High School, he entered the military and served during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1972.

In 1975 he married Penny Haskins at the Church of God in Wellington. 

Green was employed as a cabinetmaker for several years. He moved to Oklahoma where he worked for Southwest Tube Co. as a machinist for a number of years before returning to Winfield.

Survivors include his wife, Penny Green, Wellington; a son, Casey Green, Wichita; two daughters, Stacy Green and Tracy Green, both of Arkansas City; his father and stepmother, James D. and Shirley Green of Wellington; two stepbrothers, Donnie Quinn, Drumright, Okla., and Jeffrey Reynolds, Wellington; a stepsister, Wanda Green, Wellington; and five grandchildren.
