HOLDENVILLE, Okla. - Former Sapulpa resident Roy George, 69, died Saturday at his residence in Holdenville.

Services were today at Middle Creek Baptist Church Number 1 in Holdenville, with the Revs. Thomas Long, Johnson Roberts and Jimmy Alexander officiating.

Burial was at the Davis Family Cemetery in Holdenville under the direction Buckley-Williamson Funeral Home in Holdenville.

Mr. George was born Jan 19, 1920, in Kelleyville [Kellyville], served in the armed forces during World War II. He lived and worked in Kansas for Boeing Aircraft as a machinist from 1952-1983.

Survivors include wife Nora of the home; sons Roy R. George of Richarson, Texas, and Gene E. George of Holdenville; daughters Agnes AlDabbagh of Phoeniz, Ariz., Raylene Pern of Phoeniz, Allene Lafferty of Gainesvill, Fla., Mary L. Biermann of Arlington, Texas, and Connie S. Schad of Edmond; brother Reed George of Anadarko, Okla.; and 16 grandchildren.
