Ernest Flanagan, 85, died Thursday in Oklahoma City.

Services are to be held at 2 pm Saturday in the Church of the Nazarene in Davenport with Rev. Cleon Powell officiating.

Burial is to follow in the Chandler Cemetery under the direction of Schumacher Funeral Home.

Flanagan was born Jan 11, 1909 in Sequoyah and was a resident of Bristow-Depew area for 44 years. He was a US Army veteran serving overseas during World War II as an automotive mechanic. He was a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by sons Harley Flanagan of Shawnee and Tommy Joe Flanagan of Perry; daughter Virginia Hughes of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother Lester Flanagan of Ardmore; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
