HERMAN FERGUSON

Herman Laurence Ferguson, 84, of Edmond, died Saturday in Edmond.

Rosary services are scheduled for 7:30 pm Monday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Daniel Keohane officiating.

Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

He was born in Proctor, West Virginia, on May 5, 1908, to Edward and Gertrude (Hawkey) Peard. He married Mildred Josephine Ruskoski on October 1, 1931. He was a former officer and director of American National Bank in Sapulpa before his retirement in 1973.

Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, in 1990. A Sapulpa resident since 1916, moving from West Virginia, until 1992. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a 50 year member of the Oklahoma Bankers Association and a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. He was an avid golfer.

Survivors include sons, Paul E. of Oklahoma City and Joe of Denver, Colorado; sister Dolores Autchinson, of San Mateo, Calif.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at the home of Louis Stevens, 815, S. Boyd, Sapulpa.

Funeral services for Herman Lauraence Ferguson were scheduled for 1 am Tuesday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Daniel Keohane officiating.

Burial followed at South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Casket bearers were William Berry, Guy Berry III, Bob Powers, T. J. Kennedy, Dale Walts and Ralph Beasley.
