STANLEY ELMORE

Stanley Eugene Elmore, 66, of Van Buren, Arkansas, died Tuesday at his home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 pm Friday, at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren.

Burial will follow at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas, with full military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Mr. Elmore was a retired sergeant major in the United States Army and a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a member of Uniontown Masonic Lodge #395, Ellig-Stoufer American Legion Post #31 of Fort Smith. Retired Sergeant Majors Association and a former employee of CAPCO Pipe company in Van Buren.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth’ daughters, Barbara Speer and Shirley Elmore, both of fort Smith; sons, Fred Elmore of Fort Smith and Stanley Elmore, Jr., of Riverside, California; sisters, Florence Pennington of Fairfax, Madine Greiss and Margie Toops both of Sapulpa; brothers, Darrell Elmore of Sapulpa, Alvin Elmore of Seminole; and three grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be a Military Honor Guard.

Honorary casket bearers will be Paul Cooper, Bruce Klomfas, Al Neckar, Michael Seaman, Joe Hopson, Larry Speer and Gary Lincks.
