Former Sapulpa resident Ralph A. Eaton, 71, Mission, Texas, died Tuesday at a Mission Hospital.

The funeral will be Friday at 2 pm at the Smith Funeral Chapel in Sapulpa with the Rev. Mitch Wilburn officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Eaton was born August 16, 1922 in Grainola. He married Lota Engel on May 9, 1947 in Jenks and lived there through 1985. He lived in Sapulpa from 1985 to 1992 when he moved to Texas.

Eaton retired from Bigheart Pipeline Co., after 40 years employment there in charge of operations. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in McAllen, Texas, the Jenks Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd degree mason, and member of the Elks Lodge in Weslaco, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Lota; two sons, Gary and Clifford of Tulsa; two brothers, Francis and Ernest of Grainola; and two grandchildren.

Services for Ralph A. Eaton, 71, were to be held today at 2 pm at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mitch Wilburn and the Rev. Waymon Miller officiating.

Burial was to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith funeral Home.

Casket bearers were Bobby Duckert, Vic Vreeland, Engel Grow, Albert Engel, David Engel, Ray Engel, Brad Grow, Bart Grow and Eric Grow.
