Donald James Dunlap, 74, of Sapulpa, died Thursday in the Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Monday, at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens Chapel with the Rev. Russell Casey officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Owen Funeral Home.

He was born May 5, 1918, in Eufala to Turner and Henryetta Foresee Barnes. He served in both World War II and the Korean conflict. He retired from the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant. He was married to Helen Chandler in 1949 in Okmulgee. He was a night security guard with The Silvey Company of Tulsa. Dunlap moved to Sapulpa from El Paso, TX in 1954.

Survivors include his wife Helen of the home; sons John D. of Elizabeth, NC, and Richard J. of Dallas; daughters, Donna Dunlap of Smithville, TX, Linda and Jacquelyn D. Dunlap of Sand Springs, Terry Ann Bell of Sapulpa and Donella Dunlap of McAlester and five grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at 102 South Poplar. Visitation will be from 8 am to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
