BEATRICE DOWDY

BRISTOW - Beatrice Ellen Dowdy, 71, of Bristow, died Friday in Tulsa.

Funeral services were held today at Trinity Baptist Church, Bristow, with the Revs. Roland Tidwell and Archie Rivers officiating.

Burial followed at Sunrise Cemetery under the direction of Schumacher Funeral Home.

She was born April 30, 1920, in Sequoyah County. She moved to Bristow at the age of five and attended Pine Hill and Dunham Schools. She married Boyd Allen Dowdy in Bristow on Aug. 9, 1939. Mrs. Dowdy was a housewife and a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the W. M. U.

Survivors include husband Boyd, of the home; son Jack Dowdy of Bristow; daughter Carolyn Low of Bristow; sisters Edna Reed of Bristow, Vera McBride of Apache and Geneva Clings of Tulsa; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
