GEORGE DIXON
TEMPLE, Texas - George F. Dixon, 61, of Belton, Texas, died Wednesday at a
Temple (Texas) hospital.
Services will be 2 pm today at Sheffield Funeral Home Chapel, Temple, with
ministers Terry Casey and J. Cleo Scott officiating.
Burial will be in Holland Cemetery, Holland, Texas.
Mr. Dixon was born Nov 16, 1928, in Galina, Kan., and moved to Sapulpa at age
12. He graduated from Sapulpa High School and joined the U.S. Army, serving in
the Korean Conflict. He worked for Safeway in Temple from 1952 to 1965, when he
joined the U. S. Postal Service.
Survivors include his wife Bobbye Dixon of the home; mother Veda Lightfoot of
Temple; sons Danny Dixon of Rogers, Texas, and Ricki Dixon of Morgans Point,
Texas; daughter Susan Hutton of Belton; and six grandchildren.
