MRS. DELOZIER IS TAKEN BY DEATH IN LONG ILLNESS

PIONEER RESIDENT SUCCUMBS AT AGE 79
FUNERAL RITES TOMORROW

Mrs. Emma DeLozier, wife of H. F. DeLozier died late yesterday afternoon at her home on South Maple street after an illness of five months. Funeral services in charge of Dr. P. J. Conkwright will be held at the First Baptist church at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in South Heights Cemetery under the direction of the Landrith Funeral Home.

Mrs. DeLozier is survived by her husband and five grandchildren. She was the mother of two sons, Bert, who was connected with the Trans-continental Oil Company and who met death in 1921 in an auto accident in Texas, and Matt who was the first U.S. Probation officer to be appointed in Oklahoma and who was killed by an accidental discharge of his pistol in 1935.

Away back in 1902 the DeLoziers came to Sapulpa from Osceola, Mo., and have made their home here ever since. For many years he was connected with the Frisco railroad as traveling live stock agent. He was retired several years ago on account of advancing age.

Mr. and Mrs. Delozier were married 61 years ago in Missouri. She was 79 years of age and had been a member of the Baptist church since early in life. She was a member of the T. E. L. class of the First Baptist Sunday school and of the Corona club. Her going marks the passing of another of those early pioneers whose efforts in the early days made Sapulpa what it is today and whose ranks are thinning fast.
