Vernie Coy, 66, 24 W. Goodykoontz, died Saturday, Oct 8, 1994 at Muskogee Veterans Hospital.

Services will be 10:30 am Wednesday at South Heights Assembly of God with the Revs. Gary Thiessen and Phil Taylor officiating. Burial will be in South Heights Cemetery, Sapulpa. Arrangements are through Smith Funeral Home.

He was born Oct 23, 1927 in Sapulpa. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Liberty Glass in 1980. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of the South Heights Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his wife, Imogene, of the home; a son Ronnie Coy, Sapulpa; step-son Stanley Pollock, Tulsa; a sister, Wanda Mangrum, Sapulpa; two brothers, Billy Coy, California, and Bobby Coy; and five grandchildren.

Services for Vernie Coy were held at 10:30 am Wednesday in the South Heights Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Gary Thiessen and Phil Taylor officiating. 

Burial followed in Sough Heights Cemetery under direction of Smith Funeral Home. 

Casket bearers were Calvin Patterson, James Taylor, David Stroup, Daniel Stroup, J.C. Taylor and Lee Gilliss. Honorary bearer was Tony Foxx.
