HARRIET CHEEK

Harriet May Lytle Cheek, 71, Sapulpa, died Saturday at Keystone State Park.

Services will be 10:30 am Tuesday at Smith Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Connell Ghormley officiating.

Burial will be at South Heights Cemetery.

She was born Oct 25, 1917 in Sapulpa.

Mrs. Cheek was a charter member of the Parent-Child Psychology Club in Sapulpa, a national board member of Camp Fire Girls, member of the Rose Unit of Garden Club, T-town Tole Painters Society, Tulsa Women’s Bowling Club, Green County Airstream Club and Frisco Railrunners Camping Club. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Robert Lee Cheek; son Robert L. Cheek Jr. of Brownfield, Texas; daughter Paula Kay Kelly of Austin, Texas; sister Leila Shaw of Los Angeles; brothers Charles Lytle of San Francisco and Bud Lytle of Atlanta; and six grandchildren.

The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

The family will headquarter at 707 S. Hickory.
