CHAVOUS
Mr. Raymond Rufus Chavous, 51, of 900 ½ W. Teel Road, died Friday in an
automobile accident.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete with Owen Funeral Home.
Mr. Chavous was born May 8, 1937, in Hephzibh, Ga., and had been a Sapulpa
resident for 1 ½ years, moving here from Pensacola, Fla. He was a Navy veteran,
having served on the U.S. battleship Missouri. He was a dream weaver.
Survivors include his wife Kathleen of the home; father Raymond R. Sr. of
Augusta, Ga.; children Twilla Renee Statz of Sapulpa. Heather Dawn Statz of
Slidell, La., and Casey Lynn Chavous of Tulsa; brothers Samuel of Tulsa, Bobby,
Mark, Donnie, Charles, and Berry, all of Augusta; sisters Mary James of Atlanta,
Ga., Becky Kilgore and Bebbie Sawyer, both of Hephzibh, and Margaret Pittman of
Augusta; one grandson.
