LEROY CHAMBERS

Leroy “Pete” Chambers, 70, 1913 S. Cedar, died Saturday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Connell Ghormley officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Chambers was born Aug 20, 1920 in Midlothian, Texas and was retired from Gulf Oil Company after 43 years of service. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, a member of the First United Methodist Church, and a Sapulpa resident since 1961 after moving here from Mississippi.

Survivors include wife Hazel; son Bob Chambers of Sapulpa; daughter Karen Eager of Sapulpa; brother Charlie Chambers of Red Water, Texas; sisters Mary Francis Higginbotham of Red Water, Texas and Ella Mae Stoub of Conroe, Texas; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services for Leroy “Pete” Chambers were held today at the First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Connell Ghormley and Herman Ging officiating.

Burial followed in Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casketbearers were Dennis Wadley, Jake Satterfield, Walter Griggs, Darrell Elmore, Jack Fox and Jack Jefferies.

Mr. Chambers, a Sapulpa resident since 1961, died Saturday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.
