JAMES CHAMBERS

James Henry “Sonny” Chambers, 42, died Wednesday at St. John Medical Center after an extended illness.

Services sill be 2 p.m. Saturday at church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Doyle Baker officiating.

Burial will follow in Woodland Memorial Park, Sand Springs.

He was born April 28, 1948, in Ponca City, and had lived in Bixby, Broken Arrow and Sapulpa for the past 21 years. He married Eva Sue Rice on Sept 30. 1967, in Ponca City.

At the time of his death he was a self-employed painter and had worked for Bob Vale Painting.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Chambers, Sr. and brother Boyd Chambers.

Survivors include mother Gladys Marie Chambers of Ponca City; wife Eva Sue chambers of Sapulpa; son James Bradley Chambers of Sapulpa; daughters Christy Dawn Chambers and Stefanie Lynn chambers, both of Sapulpa, and Darla Jean Madaris of Tulsa; brothers and sisters, Bobby Joe Chambers of Spokane, Wash., Donald Olen Chambers of Sand Springs, Claryon Marie House of Sapulpa, Jimmie Lea Chambers of Ponca City, Martha Klinzer of Ponca City and Beverly Focke of Newkirk.

The family will headquarter at 812 E. Lee. A memorial fund has been established for the family at the American National Bank.

Services for James Henry (Sonny) chambers, 42, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Doyle Baker officiating.

Burial will follow in Woodland Memorial Park, Sand Springs, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casket bearers are Butch House, Jimmy House, Tracy House, Seeders Chambers, Steve Clark and Danny Chambers.

Mr. Chambers died Wednesday at St. John Medical Center following open heart surgery.
