ALTA MAY BURGESS

Alta May Burgess, 92, 310 W. Taft, died Thursday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Services are set for 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. T. Howard Allen officiating.

Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 13, 1897, in Cleburne, Texas and moved to Sapulpa from Bixby 80 years ago. She married Franklin Burgess in Sapulpa in 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1965.

Mrs. Burgess was a housewife and a member of the First Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class.

Survivors include son Ben Wright of Sapulpa; daughter Wilhelmina Conway of Tulsa; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The Family will headquarter at the Ben Wright Home at 4718 Hillside Drive.
