BUMPUS

MIDWEST CITY, OKLA.—Mr. J. Orville Bumpus, 66, Midwest City, died April 26.

Mr. Bumpus was born April 28, 1910, in Toledo, Ohio and served as Sapulpa city manager from 1948 to 1955.

He attended Central State University, John Brown University and Oklahoma state University and served as an educator in several schools across Oklahoma.

Survivors include wife Stachia; daughters Karan McDonald of San Antonio, Texas, and Joyce Findley of Edmond, Okla; sons Calvin Ellis of Amarillo, Texas, and Robert F. Ellis of Wichita, Kansas; seven grandchildren and seven Great-grandchildren.

Services for Mr. Bumpus were April 29 at Country Estates Baptist Church, Midwest City, and burial was in Arlington Memorial Gardens under the direction of Paylor Funeral Home.
