F. Carley Bryant, 82, died March 4, 1995.

Services will be at 10:30 am Tuesday at the Tulsa Scottish Rite Temple. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery in Sapulpa with Fitzgerald Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.

Bryant was born Jan 11, 1913 in Groesbeck, Texas. He moved to the Tulsa area in 1937 after marrying his wife, Ann.

He founded Bryant Refractory Co., the Oklahoma distributor of A.P. Green products, and served as its president until his death.

Besides his business endeavors, Bryant actively participated in Masonry. A member of Delta Lodge No. 425 and a past master of Jenks Lodge No. 497, he held membership in the Tulsa York Rite and Scottish Rite Bodies, Akdar Shrine Temple, Societas Rosicruciana in Civitatibus Foederatis, Royal Order of Scotland, Eastern Star, Amaranth and High Twelve International.

He was a 33rd degree Mason and a fourth generation member of the Scottish Rite.

Bryant served as chairman of the Tulsa Scottish Rite advisory conference and as intendant general of the Red Cross of Constatine in Oklahoma from 1987 to 1993.

He was active in Masonic youth organizations and served as executive officer for DeMolay in Oklahoma from 1965 to 1978. He was an emeritus member of the International Supreme Council, the governing body of DeMolay.

Bryant received the Guild of the Leather Apron and the Honorary Legion of Honor for his work in DeMolay and the Grand Cross of Color from the Order of Rainbow for Girls.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Gussie Bryant; his wife; and his daughter, Patsy Douthat.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Judy Bryant of Sapulpa; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Oklahoma DeMolay Association, Box 371, or a charity of choice.
