Lois Ruth Bruton, 78, 519 N. Ross, died Wednesday at Saint Anthony’s Hospital, Oklahoma City.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Friday at Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roemer officiating.

Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery.

She was born Dec 10, 1912, in Rosebud, Texas, and had lived in Sapulpa for the last 60 years. She married Jack Bruton on April 15, 1933, in Sapulpa. Mrs. Bruton was a member of the Worldwide Church of God. She was preceded in death by daughter Ellen and brother Clarence.

Survivors include husband Jack; sons Jackie and Jimmie Bruton, both of Oklahoma City and Ralph Bruton of Turlock, Calif.; daughter Billie Jean Timmons of Oklahoma City; brothers and sisters Cora, Willie, Bobbie, Betty and Sam of California, Lorene and Vivian of Kansas and Robbie of Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lois Bruton were held today at Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roemer officiating.

Burial followed at South Heights Cemetery.

Casketbearers were William Timmons, Andrew Timmons, Leonard Timmons, Paul Timmons and Gerald Timmons.

Mrs. Bruton, a longtime area resident, died Wednesday at Oklahoma City.
