BRUCE
BRISTOW— Mr. Abner Dalton Bruce, 69, Bristow, died Friday at St. Francis
Hospital, Tulsa.
Services are set for 10 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church in Bristow with
Rev. Pat Sutherlin officiating.
Burial will be at Bristow City
Cemetery, Bristow, under the direction of Hutchins-Maple funeral Home,
Bristow.
Mr. Bruce graduated from Kellyville High School in 1937 and served in the army
during World War II.
He spent 25 years on the Community Area Soil Conservation Committee and was a
member of the American Legion. Mr. Bruce was a retired rancher.
Survivors include wife Gertrude (Trudy) Bruce; brothers Loyd of Tulsa, and
Claude of Bristow; sons Abner Jr. Of Claremore, Robert of Tulsa, Roy Lee of
Broken Arrow, and Luis DeLucy of Oceanside, Calif.; daughters Susie Zimmerman of
Washington, Brenda Jackson of Broken Arrow, Connie Travis and Rhonda Flood, both
of Bristow, and Rosa Lee Drew of Irvine, Calif; 17 grandchildren, and four
great-grandchildren.
