Georgia A. Jones Brown, 74, of Coweta, died Monday at Broken Arrow Medical Center.

Prayer services are scheduled for 7 tonight at Pickett Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Thursday, at Pickett Chapel Indian Methodist Church with Rev. Jake Wildcat officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

She was born Oct 24, 1918, in Sapulpa. A longtime Sapulpa resident, she was a Women's Army Corps veteran serving in World War II. She was a member of the Pickett Chapel Indian Methodist Church and the Euchee Polecat Ceremonial Ground.

Survivors include a son, Tim Brown, of Tulsa; daughters, Martha Watashe of Kellyville and Barbara Brown of Coweta; brother, LaVerne Jones of Sapulpa; sisters, Julia Winningham and Rosalee Marcy of Sapulpa; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at the Jones residence, 300 W. Burnham.

Funeral services for Georgia Brown were held today at 2 pm in the Pickett Chapel Indian Methodist Church with Rev. Jake Wildcat officiating.

Burial followed at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Full military rites were provided by the Sapulpa Veterans Organizations.

Serving as casket bearers were Gary Jones, Johnny Jones, Kelly Bucktrot, Robert Bucktrot, Jerry Bucktrot, and Sunny Bucktrot.

Honorary bearers were Mike Bucktrot, Gene Jones and Leslie Gibbs.

Brown died Monday at the Broken Arrow Medical Center.
