Gibson LaFayette Brooks, 61, Cedar Crest Nursing Center, Broken Arrow, and died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1995 at Tulsa Specialty Hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Green Hills Memorial Gardens Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Canler officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Garden, directed by Owen Funeral Home.

He was born July 25, 1933 in Tulsa to Samuel L. and Kelly Pearl Gibson Brooks.

He married Wilma Jones in Fresno, Calif., on Dec. 24, 1952.

He served in the Korean Conflict with the United States Army. He was a former auto body repairman with G and W Body Shop in Okmulgee. He attended the Church of God and was a member of Odd Fellows, American Legion, Okmulgee, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Brooks, of the home; three sons, Gibson Leon Brooks, Tulsa, Marty Perry Brooks, Muskogee, and Jeffery Wade Brooks, Sapulpa; six daughters, Wilma Kathleen Glenn, Tulsa, Cheryl Lynn
Henry, Henryetta, Angela Marie Crawford, Sapulpa, Irene Culp, Anna Lee Hooten and Delvita Mobley, all of Bakersfield, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be David Glen, Brandon Henry, Cliff Heney, Jeffery Brooks and Marty Brooks.

The family will headquarter at the south Sapulpa home.
