MONTE BRECHT

Monte Christopher Brecht, 32, of Joshua Tree, Calif., died Tuesday neat Stayton, Ore, from injuries sustained in a mountain climbing accident.

Services are pending Smith Funeral Home.

He was born Nov. 14, 1957, in Sapulpa. He was a graduate of the University of Montana. He taught at Sapulpa High School for two years. A year ago he moved to Joshua Tree Calif., where he was a high school teacher. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for four years.

Survivors include parents Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brecht of Sapulpa; son Nicholas of Tulsa; daughter Rebekah of Tulsa; brother Martin Brecht of Charlotte, N.C.; sister Sarah VandeZee of LaGrange, Ga.; and grandmother Mrs. Verbie Yandell of Oklahoma city.

Requests have been made to make donations to the Little Lighthouse in Tulsa.

MONTE BRECHT

OKMULGEE — Graveside services for Monte Brecht will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Okmulgee Cemetery with the Rev. Connell Ghormley officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Brecht, a former Sapulpa High School teacher, died Tuesday in Oregon from injuries sustained in a mountain climbing accident.
