Services are pending for Christle F. Boydston, long-time Mounds resident.

She died Thursday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Owen Funeral Home is in charge of services.

Christle Fleeta Boydston, 85, rural Mounds, died Tuesday, June 22, 1995 at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Mounds with the Rev. Virgil Calvert and Dick Knox officiating. Burial will be in Duck Creek Cemetery, east of Mounds, directed by Owen Funeral Home.

She was born Jan. 30, 1910 in Bixby to James H. and Ida B. Barber Killian. 

She married Ola R. Boydston on April 13, 1927 in Sallisaw.

She retired in 1982 as a cook with the Mounds Public School. She moved to Mounds from California in 1951. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mounds; a 48-year member of the Mounds Rebecca Lodge and a member of the Mounds Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975.

Survivors include two sons, John Boydston, Nicoma Park, and Lawrence Boydston, Mounds; two daughters, Jo Linnet, Mounds, and Carol Ervin, Lake Elsinor, Calif.; a sister, Lorene Drewry, Mounds; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be Charles Linnet, Michael Linnet, Wesley Linnet, Howard Ray, Donald Boydston and Phillip Shattuck. Honorary, casket bearers will be Kim Wilson and Christopher Burgess.

The family will headquarter at the First Baptist Church of Mounds. Funeral arrangements are by Owen Funeral Home.
