Orville Blevins, 93, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2004 at his home in Bixby. He was born April 26, 1911 in Braggs. He married Helen Brown on Dec. 24, 1944 in Eufaula.

He was preceded in death by his parents John Blevins and Alice Alcorn Blevins; wife Helen; two brothers Virgil and Floyd Blevins and two sisters Hazel Marshall and Ella Mae Ballew.

He is survived by his sons Richard, of Bixby, and Jim, of Bixby, and sister Lorice Hunter, of Tupelo, Ark; five grandchildren Rick Blevins, of Muskogee, Joshua Blevins, of Salina, Kan., David Blevins, of Bixby, Rebecca Blevins, of Lawrence, Kan., and Candice Blevins, of Bixby; and one great-grandchild Sawyer Blevins, of Salina, Kan.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2004 at Riverview Baptist Church in Bixby with the Rev. Randy Parks officiating. Committal with be at the Bixby Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care.
