William Dotson Barnett, 80, died Friday, Dec 9, 1994 in Bristow.

Services were Monday at First Church of God in Bristow with the Revs. Glen Perry and Merlin Mosher officiating. 

Burial was in Stroud Cemetery, directed by Schumacher Funeral Home.

He was born Nov 12, 1914 in Atoka County. He graduated from Milfay High School as valedictorian.

On Dec 14, 1936, he married Syble Marie Horn near Sacred Heart In Konawa.

He was a farmer and worked for the government under the Farm Management Program in the 1930s. Prior to his illness, he was a Pentecostal minister.

Survivors include four sons, Darrell Barnett, Ralph Barnett, Jim Barnett and David Barnett, all of Bristow; three daughters, Charlene Fairchild, California, Evelyn Cheatwood, Bristow, and Marilyn Hight, Sapulpa; a brother, Herbert M. Barnett; four sisters, Needa Alley, Stroud, Reba Keeling, Kiefer, Doris Davis, Ponca City, and Anna Margie Hodge, Slick; 23 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Syble Marie Barnett, in 1990.
