OKMULGEE—Lysle D. Adolph Jr., 52, of Okmulgee, died Sunday after a sudden illness. 

Funeral services were held Tuesday at First Baptist church, Okmulgee. 

Burial followed at Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of Kelley Funeral Home. 

Mr. Adolph was born Oct 17, 1939, in Tulsa. He earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial arts from Oklahoma City University in 1961. Since 1966, he was an instructor in the Automotive Technology Center at OSU Okmulgee. 

He married Carolyn Beaty on July 17, 1961, in Sapulpa. 

Survivors include wife, Carolyn; sons Dr. Gary Adolph of Okmulgee, Jeffrey Adolph of St. Louis and Gregory Lysle Adolph of Turley; parents Lysle Sr. And Georgia Adolph of Turley; and brother Onie J. Adolph of Talala. 

In lieu of other remembrances, the family suggest donations in his memory to the OSU Okmulgee Endowment Fund.
