HIRAM HALL
I always believed my grandfather, Hiram HALL was from Texas, but could never
locate any records with his name on it in Texas. He had five children. Some
of their birth records stated their fathers birth place as being Texas, some
said Oklahoma. I have never found his name on a census record, and believe
me, I have searched. Recently I found an old letter from an uncle stating
his dad was from Coal, OK. One problem though, he spelled it wrong. He spelled
it Cole. I don't find a Cole, OK on my map, so I figure he meant Coal. My
grandmother, Icey Dora Gunter was from Hugo, Ok. and they married in Lamar
County, Texas in 1913. Also, Hiram and one of Icey's brothers (possibly John
Gunter) ran around with the indians in the area and even claimed to have
indian blood in him. If anyone knows of any Halls in Coal in the early 1900's,
please let me know. Thank you Bette Nevarez:

KING GREEN
My father was born in Coalgate in 1920. He was the second child of James
Franklin King and Oma Green. My grandfather was born in Arkansas, but my
grandmother was born in Oklahoma. She died in 1926 in Texas, and was born
about 1900. Her father's name was Peter Green, who was a doctor or dentist.
I have no other information on the Green family, other than the fact that
Oma Green King was living in Coal County in 1918 -1920. My father's older
sister, Emma King, was also born in Coal County in 1918. Do you have any
information on Oma Green King or her family? I do know she had a number of
brothers and sisters, some of them named Lely, Bede, Stella, Dolly and Minnie.
The family has a tradition that she was half Cherokee. Any information you
might have would be very helpful. Thank you. Please contact James King
