Comanche County: The Lawton Constitution, Tuesday, September 11, 1973

Kenneth E. ETTER, 51, a retired Fort Sill fireman, died at 10:50 a.m. Monday of injuries received when the pickup he was working under slipped off a jack and crushed his chest. The accident occurred at the ETTER's home some two hours earlier.
Funeral services will be Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church. Rev. Dennis MEYERS, Pastor of the Assembly of God Church, Fletcher, and Rev. KROPP, pastor of Or Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Sterling will officiate and burial will be ;in Fletcher Cemetery under Robins Funeral Home, Fletcher.
Mr. ETTER was born on January 15, 1922 in Rush Springs, Fletcher area. He served in the Army during World War II from 1942-45. He received the Purple Heart after being wounded in action with the 3rd Division 7th Army in Europe. He and Theresa NUZZO were married on December 13, 1945 in Lawton. He received a medical retirement from the Fort Sill Fire Department in 1965.
Survivors in addition to his wife include 2 sons; 1 daughter; 2 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Ella ETTER MORRISON, Star Route, Lawton, 3 brothers, and 9 sisters.

Funeral services will be held for Jerry HAVLOVIC of Redding, California, at Greenfield Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, Sept. 22. HAVLOVIC is formerly from the Greenfield and Watonga area.

Funeral services for Jerry HAVLOVIC, 86, who died in Redding, Calif. Sept. 18, 1973 were held in the Greenfield Baptist Church at 10 a.m., Sept. 22, with the Rev. Allen Smith officiating. Interment was in IOOF Cemetery, Watonga.

HAVLOVIC was born to John and Katherine HAVLOVIC Nov. 24, 1886, in Schuyler, Neb. He was married to Maggie ENNEN. He was a member of the IOOF and had formerly lived in Greenfield and Watonga.
HAVLOVIC was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie and one son, Chester.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lucille SLAGHT, Redding and Mrs. Grace SULLIVAN, Durant; two sons, Willard, Okla. City and Don, Sesser, Ill; two sisters, Mrs. Annie MCCLURE, Idaho and Mrs. Julia KNISLEY, Chesapeake, Va.; two grandchildren and four-great-grandchildren.

Marlow (Staff) -- Funeral for Harold Ray (Butch) ETTER, 31, Marlow, who died Tuesday in a Duncan hospital, will be 2:30 Friday at the Fifth Street Baptist Church with Rev. Alvin MC CONNELL and Rev Bob DOZE officiating. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery with Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. ETTER was born Jan. 14, 1942 at Bailey. he was married to Carolyn VANDERGRIFF in Lawton Aug. 12, 1961. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a truck driver. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one daughter, his mother; 1 brother, John ETTER of Lawton; 3 sisters, 1 half-sister, and a step-sister.

CROSSLIN

McClain County: Purcell Register, Saturday, October 6, 1973

James Charles CROSSLIN, age 82, of Lexington, Okla. died October 4, 1973 in the Purcell Municipal Hospital after an Extended Illiness.
Mr CROSSLIN was born May 6th, 1891 in Collinsville, Texas. He was a retired farmer coming to Lexington from Tisimingo, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Lexington, Oklahoma.
Survivors include his wife of the home. Seven Daughters, two sons. One brother and 31 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were in the Church of Christ, Lexington, on Saturday, Oct. 6, 1973 at 4:00 p.m. with Bros. Ray Mayhue officiating and Steve Winn assisting. Pallbearers were grandsons who served as both active and honorary pallbears.   Interment was at the Lexington Cemetery with the Conner Funeral Home handling the funeral arrangements.

FLETCHER (Staff)-- Mrs. Ella E. MORRISON, 75, of Star Route, Lawton, and a former longtime Fletcher resident, died at 2:15 a.m. Saturday in a Lawton nursing home after a long illness. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church here. Rev. Dennis MEYER, pastor of the Fletcher Assembly of God Church, and Rev. Dale WALLACE, pastor of the Elgin Assembly of God Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery under Direction of Robbins Funeral Home.
Born in Forney, Tex., on Oct. 7, 1898, Mrs MORRISON moved to Rush Springs in 1905, later lived in Arkansas before moving to Elgin in 1927 and moved to Fletcher in 1946. She was married first to William ETTER on June 21, 1917 in Chickasha. Mr. ETTER died on Jan. 13, 1961. She then was married to Charlie MORRISON on March 6, 1964 in Wichita Falls, Tex.
Survivors in addition to her husband of the home include 9 daughters, 3 sons, 1 sister, Mrs. Nellie EAKINS, Elgin; 3 brothers: George and Edd SEYMOUR, both of Rush Springs, and Henry SEYMOUR, Fletcher; 68 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Earnest Waldo BURNETT, 59, died Tuesday at his residence following a short illness. Funeral will be at 2 p.m Thursday in the Robbins Funeral Home Chapel, Fletcher. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Lawton.
Mr. BURNETT was born Sept. 14,1914 in Roff and moved to Elgin in 1945. He was a World War II veteran and a farmer. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Warren MCMAHAN, Elgin; and two brothers, L.B. of Elgin and Levi BURNETT of Apache.

Mrs Sarah Agnes THOMAS,90, of 2808 N W Park, died Wednesday in St Anthony Hospital after a short illness. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Smith and Kernke Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
A native of Morgan County, Mo, she moved to Okemah in 1918 and later came to Oklahoma City in 1937. She was a member of Eastern Star and Crestwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Eva Bennett and Mrs Effie Cook; three sons, Sidney, Leo, and Eugene; a sister, Mrs Ora BALLEN; 14 grandchildren, 38 greagrandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Orice E. (Yank) BOYD, 79 died in a Shawnee hospital Wednesday night following a four week illness. Services are set for 2 pm Friday in the Cooper Funeral Chapel in Tecumseh. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetary. The casket will be open until funeral time but not afterwards.
Born May 23, 1894 in Tulia, Tex. Mr. Boyd came to Oklahoma in 1910 and lived in Stonewall and Earlsboro before coming to Tecumseh in 1932. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Tecumseh, and was a retired plumber. Mr. Boyd married the former Thelma Partain on Dec 22, 1920 in Tupelo, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by a son, Phillip Ray.
Survivors include his wife Thelma at the home, two daughters, Annie Laura Boyd, Oklahoma City and Sue SUITOR, Tecumseh. A son, Orice E. Boyd Jr, Emporia KS and four grandsons.
Cooper Funeral Chapel, Tecumseh is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Arkansas, RHODES has lived in California most of his life. He had done ranch work since his retirement.

Arrangements are under direction of the Robbins Funeral Home of Fletcher.
Survivors include his widow, Mary Belle, of the home; one daughter and three sons. Four sisters.

Dibble Rites for Leonard BARNETT were Saturday
Funneral services were held Saturday in the Freewill Baptist Church in Dibble for Leonard Barnett, 78, who died on Febuary 28. Rev. Don Bates, officiated assisted by Rev. Ora Adams and Rev. John Ballard. Interment was in the Dibble cemetery under the dirsection of Eisenhour Funeral Home.
The son of Eli and Phoebe Barnett, he was born January 1, 1896 at Big Sandy, Indian Territory. He was united in marriage to Carrie FORMAN in 1923. To this union was born one daughter, Ruth Helen RAY of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his wife Carrie.
On Febuary 26, 1963, he married Roxie CLAUNCH.
Survivors include his wife Roxie of the home, one daughter, Ruth Helen RAY of Albuqerque, N. M.; three stepsons and three step daughters, one brother, O. M. Barnett of Depew, two sister Elizabeth STANDRIDGE of Coalgate; Effie BEDDO of Norman; 15 granndchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He was a member of the American Legion Post 42 for 38 years. He was baptized into the Baptist Church at the age of 13. His hobby was making minature wagons and buggies. Pall bearers were Herbert BEDDO, Jim STANDRIDGE, Chester BARNETT, Eli BARNETT, Clyde BARNETT, Leroy BARNETT, all nephews.

Dorothy S. LEWIS, age 79, died Friday morning in Guthrie. She was born in Guthrie Oct. 20, 1894. She graduated from college in Stillwater in 1916. Mrs. LEWIS moved to Ohio for 20 years and returned to Guthrie in 1939. She was a retired Welfare Department worker.

FRANK GREGOR, native Pawneean, 65, passed away at a local hospital Saturday, July 27, following a heart attack earlier in the week. Services were held Monday afternoon.
Born in Pawnee on March 17, 1909 to Joseph and Frances PRUCHA GREGOR, he has been a lifetime resident of the Pawnee area.
He married Bessie Wilma HARRISON in Pawnee on October 3, 1929 and she survives as do 4 sons and 2 daughters: Frankie Joe GREGOR of Watertown, N.Y.; Alma June WADLOW and Mrs. Wayne NICHOLS, both of Pawnee; Dale GREGOR of Mannford; Forrest GREGOR of Anchorage, Alaska and Gary GREGOR of Cleveland. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and a great grand- daughter plus 3 brothers and 2 sisters:  Joe GREGOR and Mrs. Helen RYAN, both of Pawnee; Bill GREGOR of Cleveland; Bert GREGOR of Enid and Mrs. Elsie LAWSON of Perry.
He was a mechanic for many years in Pawnee until his health forced him into semi-retirement. He maintained a small shop at his home and did small repair and mechanical repair jobs for many Pawneeans over the past 10 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
The Rev. Jack OWENS officiated at the service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 29, at the POTEET Funeral Chapel and interment was in Highland cemetery under the direction of the POTEET Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bill HUGHES, 65, died suddenly at her home on Thursday night, August 1, 1974. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Lovett Funeral Chapel with Jim LOVETT officiating. Internment was in Riverside Cemetery.
Gladys Viola HUGHES was born August 1, 1909 at Brinkman, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Joseph SMITH. She was a beautician for a number of years and later worked as a floral designer. She was married to Bill HUGHES at Mangum on February 3, 1934.
Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Jim KLEPPER, Ada, a grandson, Brad, also of Ada and two brothers, Gene SMITH of Mangum and Joe SMITH of Albuquerque, N.M.

He was a retired chef from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California. He was a veteran of WW II and member of Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Elsie of the home, one brother, Roy UNDERWOOD of Jay, OK; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Underwood LUTES, Jay and Mrs. Opal STEWART, Fresco, California.
Funeral service were at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 13 in the Baptist Church in Jay, with Rev. Hoyt CARROLL and Rev. Loyd CRAWFORD officiating. Military rites were in the Duffield Cemetery in Jay by the Grove American Legion Post. Worley Funeral Home in charge.

John Henry WARNER, was born May 6, 1895 in Omaha, Nebraska, and passed away at the Grove General Hospital, August 19, 1974. He was 79 years old. He was married to Gladys (?SLIMKINS) in 1937 at Stroud, OK. They retired to Grove 18 years and made their home in the Zena community.
He is survived by his wife Gladys of the home; a son, Donald Eugene WARNER, one sister, Mrs. Victor BOYD; four brothers; Charlie WARNER, Arthur WARNER, Roy WARNER, and Walter (Dutch) WARNER, one grandson and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held at the Worley Funeral Home Chapel, 10 a.m., Wednesday, with Rev. Loyd CRAWFORD officiating. Interment in the Memorial Park, Tulsa, OK. with Worley Funeral Home in charge.

John Elmer BURNETT, born in Jacket, Missouri, May 7, 1882, died in the Grove General Hospital August 19th, at the age of 92.
He married Ina Mae ESTLE, Sept. 5, 1909 in Arkansas. They moved to Grove,OK where he was in the produce and grocery business. She proceeded in death on June 22, 1942.
He later married Pearl HEFFELMAN on Dec. 31, 1950 in Bentonville, Arkansas.
He was a member of the 1st Christian Church of Grove. He is survived by his wife Pearl of the home, one son, Corwine BURNETT, one daughter, Mrs. Nadine CAMPBELL, 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, One brother, Nathaniel BURNETT, ; 2 sisters, Mrs. Homer BANKS and Mrs. Clyde MAHAN ; one stepson, Wayne HEFFRLMAN, and two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ermon BOYD and Mrs. Roy KIDD and 7 step grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Aug. 22 in the Worley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob MASH officiating. Interment in the Rea Ridge, AR City Cemetery with Worley Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Martha Lee Ellen BURKS, 77, of Sayre, OK formerly of Abilene, who died Sunday morning, Oct 27 in a nursing home there, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 30 in the Elliot-Hamil Chapel of Memories. Born April 14, 1897 in Weedowee, Randolph, AL, she lived in Abilene 35 years and moved to Olney three years ago. She moved to Sayre in June. Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons: Guy, Louis L., Bobbie Noel and John D.
Six daughters: Leona, Lottie, Ruth, Deloris, Birtha and Georgia.
Two stepdaughters: Artie and Zettie. A stepson: Clyde. Two brothers, two sisters, 47 grandchildren and over 100 Great Grandchildren.

Services for James Almon YORK, 82, retired farmer and peace officer are planned for 2 p.m. Thursday at Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Cecil COOVER of Midwest City. Mr. YORK died Monday morning at a Guthrie Nursing Home.
He was born in Kansas on Aug. 21, 1892 and moved to Logan Co. as a child. He was a member of West Guthrie United Methodist Church and a former Guthrie policeman, a deputy sheriff and retired farmer. He married Leona CAMPBELL on November 29, 1921 in Guthrie.
Survivors include his wife; one sister, Mrs. Norman GOODRICH, Arcadia. He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.

Pioneer Pawneean, Robert Burns (Bob) WHITLOW, 91, died here Friday, Feb. 21 and funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 24. He is survived by 68 living descendants.
Born August 31, 1883, in Hume, Mo., he has lived in Pawnee since 1898. He married Edna Mae HARRISON on Oct. 7, 1907, at Stillwater and she passed away July 16, 1973. He was a member of the First Christian church of Pawnee.
Survivors include 4 daughters and 2 sons: Mrs. Mildred TODD and Zane WHITLOW, both of Pawnee; Mrs. Ruth PUCKETTE of Hodgens, Okla; Mrs. Grace LEGRANDE of Skiatook; Earl WHITLOW of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Hankie JAMES of Hominy. Three sons preceded him in death.
Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren plus a brother and sister: Jess WHITLOW of Ponca City and Mrs. Maude FIELDS of Bucklin, Kans.
The Revs. Gregory WHITLOW and Dr. Albert JONES officiated at the service at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at the POTEET Funeral Chapel. Interment was in Highland cemetery under direction fo the POTEET Funeral Home.

Hugh Holland of the First Christian Church will officiate and burial will be in Summit View cemetery., directed by Smith Funeral Home. Simpson died Tuesday at Logan County Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 21, 1902 at Brookfield, MO. and came to the Guthrie area in 1907. A retired railroad employee and farmer, he belonged to the First Christian Church, Guthrie Lodge No. 35 AF & M and the Guthrie Consistory.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred; one daughter, Mrs. Ed (Ramona) HADLOCK, Wyo.; one son, Ernest A. SIMPSON, Guthrie; and eight grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles ALLEN. L.R. MILAM, Harold KERFOOT, Mack KESSLER, Don WREDE and Jack HUFFER. Active pallbearers will be members of the First Chrisitan Church Board, Robert DEWART, Jon GUMERSON, Charles HIXON, Clyde DENNY, Ed HADLOCK and Laurence LARY.

SCHMIEDBAUER died unexpectedly Tuesday, at his home on Route 2, Mulhall. He was born Feb. 18, 1900 at Mulhall and lived there all of his life. On Sept. 29, 1934, he was married to Hila SMITH at Guthrie. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church.
Survivors are his wife; tow(sic) sons, Dean and Bill Schmeidbauer, both of Okla. City; three daughters, Mrs. R.E. (Mary) CUNNINGHAM, OK; Mrs. R.G (Doris) CRONIN; Mrs. A.W. (Joy) SOULEK; all of OK.; two brothers, Sebastian S. Scmiedbauer adn William Schmiedbauer, both of Colo. and 11 grandchildren.

In failing health for a number of years, HUGHES became seriously ill in April and died Thursday night, September 4, 1975. He was born at Cumming City, Georgia on November 26, 1900, the son of William Sterling and Lillie Pearl HUGHES. He was married to Gladys SMITH on February 3, 1934 at Mangum. She preceded him in death on August 1, 1974. He had been retired as a mechanic since 1965.

Born in Kansas, Attebury moved to the Luther area in 1903 and to the Cushing-Perkins area in 1971. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Luther First Christian Church.

William Guy Bales, 75, who grew up in Washita county north of Mr. View, died Friday, Oct. 31, at a hospital in Independence, Kansas, where he lived.
He was born at Greenville, Tenn. in 1900 and came with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. David Bales to Mt. View.
Funeral was held Monday in Nazarene Church at Independence, Kan. The body was brought to Bethany where burial services were conducted at the Resurrection Memorial cemetery Monday.

Wilmeth was born Feb. 25, 1893, in Belle county, Texas and married Susie SPRADIN on Sept. 22, 1916, at Canute. Memeber of the Sentinel Masonic Lodge and the Dill City American Legion and a veteran of World War 11.

Troy Oliver Phillips, 73, Cordell farmer, died Saturday Nov. 1 at Cordell.
He was born in Custer county Aug. 18, 1902 and moved the the Page community in 1906. He was married to Docial M. WHITTENBERY on Dec. 19, 1924. The couple moved ot Elk City where they lived when Mrs. Phillips died in 1961.
Phillips moved to Cordell in 1965 and married Fannie IGO in December 1966.
Services were held Nov. 3, in Cordell. Burial was in the Fairlawn cemetery of Elk City with Hartronft Funeral Home in charge.

Funeral services for Mr. French MORGAN were held here in the Fatheree-Albert Chapel on Saturday, May 8, 1976, at 10:30 a.m. Officiating for the service was Rev. Walter KNOX. Mr. Morgan died at his home on Wednesday, May 5, 1976.
Born Dec. 18, 1901, at Greenville, Texas, to John B. and Francis Elizabeth ROUSE MORGAN, he had been a Beckham County resident since 1904. He was married to Rebecca Mae BASSETT on Nov. 17, 1928, at Wheeler, Texas. Following their marriage they made their home at Erick. He was a farmer, and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; five sons, H. D., Eddie L., J. B., Earl F., and Robert A. ; two sisters, Winnie and one brother, Roy Morgan, of Albuquerque, N.M.; 17 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Pall bearers were Mark Morgan, Nelson Morgan, David Morgan, Scott Morgan, Gary Monroe, and Bobby Bruner.

He was born September 30, 1928 in Maude, Oklahoma and had lived in Ardmore for the last three months, coming from Tahlequah. He was a cook for a local restaurant and a veteran of WWII and the Korean War, serving the Navy.
Survived by a son Jack Slade NAPIER of Tahlequah; two brothers, Lon of Ardmore and Gene of Chula Vista, CA and an uncle Eddie R. NAPIER.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Opal Bartlow PRIDDY of Ardmore; two grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Bearers will be Lowell KEETON, Howard HANEY, Leon GOSS, Ron PRIDDY, Michael COLE, and John Robert COLE.

Survivors include a son LeRoy Barnett of Gardner, Kans; two daughters Juanita HOLLAND of Southwest City, Mo. and Loetta LANE of Tulsa; seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. Also surviving is a sister, Effie BEDDO of Purcell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Depew Baptist Church with Rev. R. T. Casey officitinng. Interment will be in the Oilton cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until service time.

MCNUTT, TIPTON

Pottawatomie County: Shawnee News-Star, Sunday, June 17, 1979

Services for Mrs. Emmett (Tishie TIPTON) MCNUTT, 87, of 118 N. Tucker, are set for 2 p.m. Monday in Temple Baptist Church, 1244 E. Ada, with the Rev. W. F. Crow officiating. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Park. Cooper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. McNUTT died early Saturday in a Shawnee nursing home.
Born March 6, 1892, in Indian Territory, she was reared in the Seminole area.  She married Emmett McNUTT in August of 1907 in Corbet. Mr. McNUTT died Feb. 11, 1958. She lived in the Lexington area, moved to the Noble area in 1943, to Tecumseh in 1949 and had lived in Shawnee since 1956.
A member of Temple Baptist, Mrs. McNUTT was preceded in death by two daughters and a son.
  Survivors include four daughters; four sons.  Also surving are four sisters two brothers; 41 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bert Wright Rites Held Services for Albert Andrew "Bert" WRIGHT, 78, were at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Ray Sikes assisted by the Rev. Carl Shivers, officiated. Burial was in the Hart Cemetery. Mr. WRIGHT died Tuesday, July 24, in a Pauls Valley Hospital.
He was born March 8, 1901 in Hart and lived in this area most of his life. He married Ida FORTNER in Ada in 1930. He was a retired farmer and member of First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ida, of the home, two sons, Carl WRIGHT, Lawton, and Harold WRIGHT, Springfield,, MO; a brother, Charlie WRIGHT, Stratford; sin sister, Lannie BASS, Eva STEVENS,  Nellie THOMPSON, Alice ROBERTSON, and Ora WILLIS, all of Stratford, and Ida BASS of Houston; several grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Pickard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Note: Bert was the son of Andrew Jackson WRIGHT.

Rites Held Services for Willie Pearl WILLIAMS were at 2 p.m. Friday in the Church of Christ. Cole Tidwell officiated, assisted by Bill Oden. Burial was in Corley Cemetery. Mrs. WILLIAMS died Tuesday, July 24, in a Stratford nursing home. she was 73.
She was born June 11, 1906 in Stratford and had lived here all her life. She married Arthur WILLIAMS in Stratford  in 1924. He proceded her in death in 1973. She was a member of the church of Christ. Pickard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Rites Services for Bertle CRADDUCK SHERRELL, 76, Rt. 2, Stonewall were Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Fittstown Baptist Church.
Mrs. SHERRELL is the sister of Doris JUMPER, Stratford. Mrs. SHERRELL died Saturday, July 28 at her home.
Mrs. SHERRELL spent her entire life in Pontotoc county. She was born Feb. 6, 1903 at Franks, Indian Territory and married Rober Troy SHERRELL in Ada in 1923. He proceded her in death.

Rites Held Funeral services for Grady DABBS, 76, were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Pickard Funeral Home. He died July 30.
He was born January 25, 1903 in Dallas, Texas, and was a retired farmer. He was married to Beulah LITTLE in Tecumseh on May 20, 1924. Mr. DABBS was a veteran of WW II, and was a member of the American Legion.
Burial was in McGee Cemetery under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home.
