John D. BURNETT, 91, died Wednesday, . He was born in Oklahoma City, Okla. He had lived here 56 years. Survivors include two sons, Raymond BURNETT, of Rushville and James H. BURNETT, of Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Mrs. Thelma LAWSON, Mrs. Lawson HURD, and Mrs. Ellen ROADES, all of St. Joseph, and a sister, Mrs. Allie FREDERICKS, of Joplin, MO. Funeral arrangements handled by Rupp Mortuary. Burial at Ashland Cemetery.

Submitters Note: John Burnett , my Grand Uncle, was born February 21, 1874 to William H. and Lucinda Ann (WRIGHT) BURNETT.) and died April 7, 1965. He was born in Carroll Co. Arkansas not Oklahoma City. He married Iole RAINEY Aug. 20, 1904 in Berryville, Carroll Co. Arkansas.

Virgil BUCK, 70, died April 7, 1965. He was born at Clarksdale, MO., and had lived in St. Joseph for 37 years.
Survivors: three sisters, Mrs. Osia GILIP, Mrs. Leola WHERTELE, Mrs. May MALLORY and two brothers, W.D. BUCK and John BUCK.
Funeral was in the charge of Heaton-Bowman mortuary.

Miss Delphine LEONARD, age 79, died April 6, 1965. Burial in Mount Mora Cemetery.

Thelma Lee BURNETT  LAWSON, 85, of St. Joseph died June 17, 1997. She was born Sept. 18, 1911 to John Dison and Iole (RAINEY) BURNETT and married Dr. Charles LAWSON. She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers, Cecil, Henry, William Hayes, Clarence and Raymond BURNETT.
