ROBERTS
Services for the four members of the Dewey Wayne ROBERTS family, who died in a house fire on Christmas Eve in Stilwell, were held Sunday Afternoon in the Rock Fence Church with the Rev. Wayne BUNCH officiating. Their obituaries follow:
Dewey Wayne ROBERTS, 24 was born May 14, 1967 in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, to Joe and Geneva Ann COLEMAN ROBERTS. He is survived by: his father; his mother; and two brothers, John and Jimmy, all of Oklahoma. One brother, Thomas ROBERTS preceded him in death. He was a member of the Belfonte Baptist Church.
Mrs. Karen Sue GANN ROBERTS, 20, was born February 11, 1971, in Tahlequah to George GANN Sr. and Mary TAYLOR GANN. She was a member of the Rock Fence Church. Survivors include: her father; three brothers, Leo, LeRoy and Gary; and two sisters, Janice and Debbie Jo, all of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her mother; one sister, Mary SISCO; and one brother, George GANN Jr.
Dewey Wayne ROBERTS Jr., 2, was born November 11, 1989, and his brother, Steven Allen ROBERTS, age eight months, was born April 9, 1991, both in Stilwell. Their parents were Dewey Wayne ROBERTS and Karen Sue GANN ROBERTS. Survivors include: their grandfathers, George and Joe and their grandmother, Geneva, all of Oklahoma and several aunts and uncles.

GARDNER
Mrs. Auda Jewel GARDNER, 53, a native of Stilwell, died Tuesday, December 3, 1991, in Redlands, California. Mrs. GARDNER, daughter of the late Ezekiel and Florence WALKINGSTICK of the Piney Community, had lived in Yucaipa, California for 11 years. She was a computer operator for Deutch Co. for 10 years. She was a member of the Bryant Street Baptist Church in Yucaipa.
Survivors include: one daughter, Dee Dee of California; three brothers, Jess and O.T. of Oklahoma and Larry of California; five sisters, Jennie, Mary and Ollie of California and Madeline and Ada of Oregon; and one grandchild.
Services were held December 6 in Calimesa and interment was at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, California.

MOORE
William MOORE, 66, died December 14, 1991, in Wofford Heights, California. MOORE's wife Jennie is the daughter of the late Ezekiel and Florence WALKINGSTICK of Stilwell.

WATERS
Services for Irene WATERS, 78, who died Saturday, December 28, 1991, were to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday of this week at the Cherry Tree Baptist Church. The Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah was in charge of arrangements.

ALDERSON
Services for Frances DUDLEY ALDERSON, 72, Stilwell, were held Tuesday, December 31, 1991, in the First United Methodist Church in Stilwell, with the Rev. Diane GILLHAM officiating. Interment was in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Mrs. ALDERSON was born October 2, 1919 in Westville, to Jess and Floy BYRD DUDLEY and died Sunday, December 29, 1991 in Tahlequah. A resident of Stilwell for the past 56 years, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stilwell, Stilwell Study Club, United Methodist Women's auxiliary, church choir and Wednesday Bible Study Group.
She and Otto ALDERSON were married November 24, 1937 in Seminole. He preceded her in death on October 14, 1991.
She is survived by: two sons, Gary and Bob, both of Oklahoma; two daughters Sonja of Texas and Rita of Oklahoma; two brothers J. Floyd and Bob, both of Oklahoma; one sister Oowala of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

MITCHELL
Services for Leona Agnes MITCHELL, 77, Westville, were held Saturday, December 28, 1991 at Hart Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill BUTTRAM officiating. Interment was in the Westville City Cemetery. She was born February 27, 1914, in Gravett, Arkansas, and died Thursday, December 26, 1991, at the Betty Ann Nursing Home, in Grove. She was of the Methodist Faith.
She was married to John MITCHELL on April 2, 1949, in Bentonville, Arkansas.
She is survived by; her husband; four brothers, James and Bill of Arkansas and Gene and Kenneth of Kansas; five sisters, Leatha and Viola of Missouri, Marie of Arkansas, Dona of Kansas and Ann of California.
She was preceded in death by one daughter and a sister.

KEITH
Services for Kenneth K. KEITH, 78, Westville, were held Thursday, January 9, 1992 in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel in Westville with the Rev. Bill BUTTRAM and the Rev. Mark PFELLER officiating. Interment was in Sabine Cemetery, Lindale, Texas.
He was born January 28, 1913 in Lingleville, Texas, to Lucius Guy KEITH and Ora Lee WININGER KEITH and died Tuesday, January 7, 1992 in Tahlequah. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War 11.
KEITH had owned an appliance shop and was a member of the Masonic Lodge No.10 where he was a 32nd Degree Mason and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Westville.
On April 14, 1937, he was married to Atrelle WRIGHT in Tyler, Texas.
He is survived by: his wife, Atrelle, of the home; three sisters, Charlsie and Joy, both of Missouri and Eli of Nevada; and one brother, Bruce of Texas.

WARNOCK
Bob WARNOCK, 89, died Friday, January 3, 1992, at his home in Spiro.
WARNOCK was born March 15, 1902, in Garland, Indian Territory.
He is survived by: two brothers, Bill and Julius, both of Oklahoma; two sisters, Doris of Arkansas and Ora Lee of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Danny GREEN officiated at the graveside services held Monday, January 6, 1992, at the New Hope Cemetery in Spiro.

FLAUGHER
Services for Frederick LeRoy (Fred) FLAUGHER, 74, Stilwell, will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Hart Memorial Chapel in Stilwell with the Rev. G.H. CRITTENDON officiating. Interment will be in the Stilwell City Cemetery.
He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on June 25, 1917, to Charles E. and Martha Jane ROSE FLAUGHER. He died Monday, January 13, 1992 at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell. He was a welder and a member of the Grace Chapel Church. He was a veteran of World War 11. He was married to Sylvia PRESSLER on August 29, 1936 in Greenup, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Harry FLAUGHER, his parents and one stillborn son.
He is survived by: his wife; one son, Richard of Ohio; two daughters, Patricia of Oklahoma and Sharon of Ohio; one brother, James of Ohio; two sisters, Pearl and Mary, both of Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

TAYLOR
Howard Matthew TAYLOR, 74, a veteran of World War 11, died Sunday, January 12, 1992 at the Veterans Hospital in Muskogee. TAYLOR, whose home was in Tahlequah, was born December 24, 1917 in Christie to Hosea Robert TAYLOR and Minnie Francis TIPPY TAYLOR.
Survivors include: three brothers, Estie, H.R.Jr., both of Arkansas and Clyde of Arizona; and five sisters, Wanda and Mary, of Washington, Myrtle and Jewell, of Oklahoma and Betty of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ray, and one sister Katie SANDERS.
Services were to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday of this week at the Proctor Community Church with Rev. Bill GRASS of Locust Grove officiating, and interment in the Proctor Cemetery under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home of Westville.

HOGSHOOTER
Mrs. Bertha Carlene HOGSHOOTER, 70, a resident of Watts, died Friday, January 10, 1992 at Memorial Hospital in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She was born April 22, 1921, to Henry KAUFFELD and Stella HUMPHLEYS KAUFFELD in Clarksville, Arkansas.
Survivors include: her husband, Bill; two sons, Kenneth and Billy of Oklahoma; four daughters, Beverly and Barbara of Oklahoma and Patricia and Sara of Arkansas; two brothers, Marion and Carl of Arkansas; one sister, Martha of Arkansas; 13 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Graveside services were held Monday, January 13, 1992, at the Johnson Cemetery, Johnson, Kansas, with Rev. Jim BEAVERS of Watts officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home of Westville.

HARRINGTON
Services for Charles A. HARRINGTON, 64, Westville, were held Saturday, January 11, 1992, at Hart Funeral Home Chapel in Westville, with the Rev. Ralph CANNON officiating. Interment was in Baptist Mission Cemetery.
He was born October 9, 1927, in Waverly, Missouri, and died Thursday, January 9, 1992 at Memorial Hospital, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He was a member of the Family Worship Center Church in Westville.
He was married to Yvonne MARTIN on September 21, 1974, in Reno, Nevada. They lived in Westville the past 16 years.
He is survived by: his wife, Yvonne; two daughters, Cindy and Michelle of Oklahoma; one son, Steven of Oklahoma; two brothers, Roman of Kansas and Gene of Oklahoma; and three granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Lewis HARRINGTON and Artie Lou ICENOGA HARRINGTON; four sisters and one brother.

ISLEY
Graveside services for Mrs. Irene ISLEY, 63, of Riverside, California, and formerly of Stilwell, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Oak Grove Cemetery with Mr. Leon BRASHEAR officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
She was born October 17, 1928, in Stilwell to Webster Daniel and Norma ADAMS ENGLISH and died Wednesday, January 8, 1992, in Loma Linda, California. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by: two sons, Ronald and David of Oklahoma; three daughters, Martha Ann of California and Mary Ellen and Deborah Jean, both of Oklahoma; one brother, Louis of Oklahoma; four sisters, Ruby and Grace of Oklahoma, Lillian of Tennessee and Juanita of Connecticut; 12 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

CANTRELL
Ralph CANTRELL, 64, a civilian employee at Tinker Air Force Base near Oklahoma City, died Thursday, January 9, 1992, in Muldrow. He retired in 1967 as a master sergeant after 20 years service with the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Muldrow.
Survivors include: his wife, Nora; two daughters, Devorah and Karen; one son, Joe; two stepsons, Raymond and Leslie; two stepdaughters, Izora and Geraldine; his mother Lectie; one brother, Roy, all of Oklahoma; and several grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, January 11, 1992, at the Church of Christ in Muldrow with interment in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of the Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.

WILLIAMS
Claude WILLIAMS, 71, a U.S. Army veteran of World War 11 who was born at Lee Creek, Arkansas, died December 22, 1991, at a hospital in Roseville, California. WILLIAMS, son of Dr. J.M. WILLIAMS and Mary Ella WILBURG WILLIAMS, attended Cedarville High School, Cedarville, Arkansas, after which he entered the Army and served with the 48th General Hospital Unit. He was employed in Susanville, California.
Survivors include: his wife Verna; one sister, Clara of Arkansas; a half-sister, Alpha of Arkansas; three stepchildren, Keith , Kenneth and Norma; eight step-grandchildren and several great grandchildren; three nieces; two nephews and several cousins. He was of the Protestant faith.
Graveside military services were held December 24 at the Roseville Cemetery with Army Chaplain Ivan PAULK officiating.

RUTHERFORD
Services for Mrs. Eva Jean [SEABOLT] RUTHERFORD, 54, Muskogee, who was born December 12, 1937, in Proctor, were held Monday at the Church of God Prophecy in Muskogee with interment in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
Mrs. RUTHERFORD, who attended Bacone College in Muskogee and Connors State College in Warner, was employed at H.B. Eagan Manufacturing Co., in Muskogee.
Survivors include: her husband Virgil; one son, Virgil Jr. of Oklahoma; one daughter, Angela, of Oklahoma; three brothers, Kenneth, James and Darrell of Oklahoma; three sisters, Carleen of Washington, Latonya of Colorado and Sharon of Oklahoma; her parents, Oklahoma and Willie Mae of Oklahoma; and two grandchildren.

SHEPHERD
Graveside services for Ed SHEPHERD, 81, Westville, were held Monday, May 25, 1992, at the Ganderville Cemetery, with the Rev. Ernie MEADOWS officiating, under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Westville.
SHEPHERD was born on December 5, 1910 in Checotah to Kelsy SHEPHERD and Rhoda HICKS SHEPHERD and died Thursday, May 21. He married Alma STOVER on September 25, 1945 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by: his wife, Alma; three daughters, Lois Jean and Paulene of Idaho and Sally of Oregon; one son, Ed of Oregon; one step-daughter, Kay of Ohio; 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

TERRY
Carl TERRY, a retired car dealer, died Saturday night, May 23, 1992, at his home in Stilwell. He was 73 years old. TERRY was born January 18, 1919, in Washington County, Arkansas, to James Gifford TERRY and Mary ELLIOTT TERRY. He was married to Emily STEWART in 1937 in Stilwell.
She taught school in Adair County for 40 years. She died March 9, 1992 Mr and Mrs. TERRY served a number of small churches in the Stilwell area most of their married life and were members of the Central Baptist Church in Stilwell. He had served in churches in the past as song leader and Mrs. TERRY as pianist. He had also served as deacon.
Survivors include: one brother, Homer ofArkansas; and one sister, Mrs. Paul REES, of Illinois.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday of this week in the Roberts Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry SWAFFORD officiating. Interment will be in the Stilwell City Cemetery.

THOMAS
Services for James Otis THOMAS, 79, a veteran of World War 11 who died Saturday, May 16, 1992 at the Memorial Hospital, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, were held Monday, May 18 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel in Siloam Springs. Interment was in the Terrell Cemetery at Peavine with Rev. George JACKSON officiating.
THOMAS, was born January 25, 1913, to James H. THOMAS and Sylvia KELLY THOMAS, Ozark, Arkansas. He was married to Reba Marie TATUM in August 1946, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was a Baptist and had been employed at Simmons Industries. He had lived in this area most of his life.
Survivors include: his wife; five sons, William, Jimmy Wayne and Joe David of Arkansas, Roy of Oklahoma and William; two daughters, Jennie Marieof Oklahoma and Venita Jewell; seven brothers, Luke, Willie, Wayne, Lewis, Paul, E.K. and Norman, all of Oklahoma; and one sister, Josephine of Oklahoma.

MURPHY
Services for Rosa MURPHY, 77, Stilwell, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday of this week at United Indian Methodist Church with the Rev. Ted LAWSON officiating, and interment in the Spade Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
She was born on July 7, 1914, in Stilwell and died Monday, May 25, 1992, at her home in Stilwell. She was a member of the United Indian Methodist Church. She was married to Arch MURPHY on July 3, 1977 at the Fourkiller Baptist Church in Stilwell. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Lovenia KUYKENDALL; two brothers, Joe and Sam CHARLES; and two sisters, Ann and Jessie CHARLES.
She is survived by: her husband Arch; one son, Johnny; six daughters, Jessie, Rachel and Nona, of Oklahoma, Liz of New Mexico, Juanita of Texas and Wanda of Arkansas; 32 grandchildren; and 47 great grandchildren.

MORRIS
Services for Leland Loyd MORRIS, 67, Tulsa, were held Monday, May 25, 1992, at the Hart Memorial Chapel of Westville with the Rev. Wayne WAGNER and Brother Lloyd Lee MORRIS officiating. Interment was in the New Hope Cemetery, north of Westville.
MORRIS was born June 3, 1924, in Adair County to Loyd MORRIS and Iva THORNE MORRIS and died Friday, May 22, 1992 in Tulsa. He was married to Wanda MITCHELL on November 17, 1947, in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was a retired employee of Spartan Aircraft. He was a member of I.A.M. Union.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
He is survived by: his wife; one daughter, Iva; one grandson; one granddaughter; five brothers, Clinton of Washington, Clifton of California, Max of Texas, David of Missouri and Gerald of Arkansas; three sisters, Lorine and Cleo of Oklahoma and Maxine of Tennessee.

PADDLETY
Services for Lucy Mae PADDLETY, 58, Stilwell, were held Saturday, May 23, 1992, at Fairfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy GONZALES and the Rev. David PADDLETY officiating. Interment was in the Tyler Springs Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
She was born on October 5, 1933, in Stilwell to Martin SCOTT and Katie STAND SCOTT. She died Tuesday, May 19 at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell. She was married to Paul PADDLETY on September 8, 1955 at the Red Stone Chapel in Anadarko. She was retired as a realty officer with the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Anadarko. She was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sallie Ann JONES.
She is survived by: her husband; three daughters, Sharon, Paula and Diana; two sons, Paul Jr. and Michael; one brother John Henry; one sister, Louise; one stepson, George; one stepdaughter, Janice, all of Oklahoma; and 16 grandchildren.

DEARMAN
Clara Belle VINCENT DEARMAN, 84, died Sunday, May 17, 1992, at Mercy Hospital in Redding, California. She was born January 14, 1908 in Tahlequah. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stilwell.
Survivors include: five sons, Taylor of California, Tom, Jack, George and Roy of Oklahoma; seven daughters, Ann of Missouri, Alyene and Iva of California, Dovie and Geraldine of Oklahoma, Lorene of Texas and Nellie of Arkansas; one sister, Gertie of Oklahoma; 56 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George DEARMAN, one son and one daughter.
Services were held Friday, May 22 at the Roberts Funeral Chapel in Stilwell with the Rev. Randy PROCTOR officiating. Interment was in the Caney Cemetery near Stilwell.

SHEFFIELD
Services for Jane SHEFFIELD, 59, Westville, were held Thursday, July 2, 1992, in Hart Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ernest ASHCRAFT officiating. Interment was in Westville City Cemetery.
She was born January 27, 1933 in Danville, Arkansas, to Jesse William and Bessie Dee HELNER WOODARD and died Monday, June 29, 1992, in St. Francis Hospital, TShe and Mitchell D. SHEFFIELD were united in marriage in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, on July 19, 1952
She graduated from Sallisaw High School and received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Northeastern State University. Her advanced study continued at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma State University and the University of Missouri. An elementary teacher with Westville Public School for over 27 years, she was a member of the First Baptist Church, Oklahoma and National Education Associations, National Counsel for Exceptional Children, Westville Yellowjacket Booster Club, past president of Westville Community Improvement Club, Order of the Eastern Star and was Teacher of the Year in Adair County in 1978.
Survivors include: her husband; her mother, Bessie of Oklahoma; one son, Michael of Oklahoma; three grandsons; two granddaughters; and a brother, Donald of Arkansas.

LARY
Calvin (Sarge) LARY, 66, a former employee of the Stilwell Post Office, died Tuesday, June 30, 1992 at the Memorial Hospital, Springdale, Arkansas. He was born November 15, 1925, in Mobeetie, Texas to Calvin Lee LARY and Hazel CONWELL LARY. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant after serving during World War 11, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.
He was married to Ida May GARDNER on February 4, 1950 in Quartzite, Arizona.
Survivors, in addition to his wife include: three sons, Lee, Calvin and Joe, all of Oklahoma; four grandchildren; and one brother, and five sisters.
Graveside services with full military honors were held Friday, July 3, at the Ewing Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Dewey JONES officiating.
Interment was under the direction of the Hart Funeral Home.

ENNEKING
Mrs. Elizabeth K. (Betty) ENNEKING, 80, Stilwell, died Monday, July 6, 1992 at Stilwell Nursing Home. Viewing was Tuesday at Hart Funeral Home in Stilwell. Services and burial will be in Riverside, California. She was born on September 18, 1911 in Rosedale, Indiana, to John VIROSTKO and Julia BALYAK VIROSTKO. She was of the Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack ENNEKING; and eight brothers.
She is survived by: two sons, Jim of Oklahoma and Wayne of California;  one daughter, Carol of California; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one brother, Sam of California.

LEACH
Graveside services for Stanley LEACH, 28, Stilwell, who died Wednesday, June 24, 1992 in Noel, Missouri, were held Saturday, June 27 at the Tyler Springs Cemetery, with the Rev. Woodrow SAM and the Rev. Foreman STILL officiating. Interment was under the direction of the Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
LEACH, who was born June 20, 1964, in Tahlequah, was raised in the Stilwell area and graduated from Stilwell High School. He had worked at Simmons Poultry, and was in the Oklahoma National Guard in the early 1980's.
Survivors include: his mother, Sally; stepfather, Darrell of Oklahoma; a half-brother, D.J. of Oklahoma; and three half-sisters, Stephanie and Kelly, of Oklahoma and Darletta, of Illinois.

ADAMS
Memorial services for Carol Sue ADAMS, 59, Bunch, were to be held Wednesday of this week at 2 p.m. at Jesus Outreach International Church in Bunch with the Revs. Calvin and Jane CLAY officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
She was born on April 29, 1933, in Locust Grove to Marshall and Rowena ANDERSON EDWARDS. She died Monday, August 3, 1992, at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell. She had been payroll clerk for the City of Stilwell for seven years. She was a member of Jesus Outreach International Church of Bunch.
She is survived by: one son, Jack, of Oklahoma; three daughters, Jill, Jani and Janet, all of Oklahoma; two brothers, Marty of Arizona and David of Texas; one sister Jane of Oklahoma; her parents, of Oklahoma; two aunts; three uncles; nine grandchildren;and one great grandchild.
Contributions may be made to the Sue Adams Memorial Fund.

RONSPIEZ
Audrey Jean RONSPIEZ, 56, died Friday, July 24, 1992 at her home in El Reno. She was born February 13, 1936, in Watts, the daughter of Ben and Cassie STEPHENS. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Ed, Charley and Calvin.
Survivors include: her husband Paul; one daughter Elizabeth; one son Paul Jr., all of Oklahoma; three sisters, Marie and Ethel, of Oklahoma and Alice, of North Carolina.
Services were held Tuesday, July 28 at Trinity Baptist Church in El Reno with the Rev. Steve HOLLAND officiating. Interment was in El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of El Reno.

HAMILTON
Services for Jewell Dean HAMILTON, 65, Stilwell, were held Monday, August 17 at Freewater Batpist Church with the Rev. Vernon O. BARKER officiating. Interment was in the Freewater Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
She was born on June 21, 1927, in Yale, Oklahoma, to William Chester MORTON and Peggy Sue CHRISTIE MORTON. She died Friday, August 14, 1992 at her home in Stilwell. She was a member of the Freewater Baptist Church. She was married to Herbert Joe HAMILTON on December 2, 1945.
He preceded her in death on October 12, 1986.
She is survived by; one daughter, Carol; five sons, W. Allen, Delbert, Roy, H. Preston and Robert; and one sister, Mary June, all of Oklahoma; two granddaughters and six grandsons.

SNODGRASS
Mary Margaret SNODGRASS, 67, a former Stilwell resident, died Wednesday, August 12, 1992, at Grand Valley Hospital in Pryor following a short illness. Mrs. SNODGRASS was born January 3, 1925, in Eufaula to John and Lillian ANDERSON.
She was married to Charles Wilson SNODGRASS in 1946 and they made their home on a farm near Stilwell until 1963 when they moved to Decatur, Arkansas. She retired from Peterson Industries in 1985 and moved to Pryor. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include: one son, Kenneth, of Oklahoma; ond daughter, Brenda, of Oklahoma; three brothers, Andy, of Arkansas, Jerry, of Oklahoma and Richard, of Tennessee; two sisters, Joy, of Texas and Virginia, of Iowa; and five grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Key Funeral Home of Pryor.

LEWIS
Services for Ina LEWIS, 89, were held in June at the Old North Church at Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles, California. Mrs. LEWIS was born February 1, 1903, in Evansville, Arkansas, to Jeff SHANNON and Zoe HOWERTON SHANNON. She was married over 50 years to L. Frank LEWIS.
She is survived by; one son, Bob; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren, all of California.

CLINTON
Earl (Joe) Herschel CLINTON, 71, died Friday, August 14, 1992 at his home in the Rocky Ford community of Cherokee County. CLINTON, a carpenter, was born March 27, 1921 in Adair County to William M. CLINTON and Kathryn CLINTON. He served in the U.S. Army during World War 11.
He was married to Gladys Virginia THOMPSON.
Survivors include: his wife; six sons, Herschel, Jimmy, Gordon, Mike, Joey and Bronwyn, all of Oklahoma; four daughters, Rhonda, Romelle, Virginia and Regina, all of Oklahoma; two brothers, Leonard, of Oklahoma and George, of California; one sister, Ida, of Oklahoma; one stepbrother, Lloyd; one stepsister, Lydia; 26 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

DUBBS
The Rev. Phil DUBBS, who had served as pastorate of churches in six states, died Tuesday, August 11, 1992 at Stilwell Memorial Hospital. He was 87 years old. He was born October 22, 1905, in Clarendon, Texas, and played football at Texas Christian University.
He came to Stilwell for his first ministry and later attended Phillips University, Enid, where he received his bachelor of arts, master of arts, and master of divinity degrees. He served pastorates in Texas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Illinois, Arizona and California. He also served in varied state and national leaderships  through the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) as well as belonging to the highest order of Masonic Lodge, including the Shrine. Phil served in congregations large and small. As senior minister in Moline, Illinois, he served a congregation of over 2,000 members. At North Platte, Nebraska, he organized and taught the 99 Men's Bible Class which had over 250 members, and Sunday school attendance averaging over 900. His first retirement was in January 1970, in Fremont, Nebraska. Later he served in a 12-year pastorate at Central Christian Church in Phoenix, Arizona, and continued still, to San Diego, California, serving as associate minister in University Christian Church. It was there he saw his final retirement, only five years ago.
He was married to Evelyn WOOD DUBBS for 64 years. He had one son, Dr. William F. Dubbs of Oklahoma and five grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, August 14 at the First Christian church of Stilwell with interment in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home. Dr. Richard WING of San Diego, California, officiated.

MATHIS
Eula Edith MATHIS, 86, a native of Springdale, Arkansas, died Tuesday, August 11, 1992 at Leisure Village in Tulsa. Mrs. MATHIS was born May 3, 1906 in Springdale to James GRAHAM and Zada BYAS GRAHAM.
Survivors include: two daughters, Vivian, of New Mexico and Helen, of Oklahoma; one son, Jack, of Texas; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, August 14, at the Proctor Community church with Rev. Herschel BLAIR officiating. Interment in the Proctor Cemetery was under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home of Westville.

FRENCH
Rodney Eugene FRENCH, Wagoner, formerly of Stilwell, died Monday, August 17, 1992 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa. He was 27 years old. FRENCH died of injuries sustained in a one-vehicle traffic accident early Sunday about one mile east of Wagoner. He was taken to Wagoner Community Hospital, then transfereed by helicopter to Tulsa.
He was born June 14, 1965, in Oklahoma City to Cone Johnson FRENCH and Beverly Jean FRENCH CARPENTER. He had a bread delivery route in Wagoner, and was also a volunteer fireman in Wagoner. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors, in addition to his mother Jean, include: two brothers, Donald, of Oklahoma and Richard, of Kentucky; two sisters, Connie and Dianna, both of Oklahoma; his grandparents, Lawrence and Eva, of Oklahoma; his stepfather, Willard of Oklahoma; two nephews and one niece.
Graveside services were held Tuesday of this week at the Stilwell City Cemetery with the Rev. Aaron BARTON officiating. Interment was under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

BAGBY
Services for Margaret M. BAGBY, 67, Watts, were to be held Wednesday of this week at 2 p.m. in the Hart Memorial Chapel in Westville with the Rev. Jimmy BEAVERS officiating. Burial will follow in the Bell Cemetery. She was born January 2, 1925 in Adair County to Dennis SIXKILLER and Bertha CANNON SIXKILLER and died August 16, 1992 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. On October 12, 1946, she and Jack BAGBY were married in Girard, Kansas. She was a member of the Lightning Ridge Community Church and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Stella SIXKILLER and Cora REED.
Survivors include her husband; two brothers, Sam and Blue, both of Oklahoma; two sisters, Helen, of Texas and Faye, of Oklahoma.

Orlie Raymond REXROAT, 77, a retired electrician, died Thursday, September 10, 1992, in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born July 9, 1915 in McWillie, Oklahoma, to Preston REXROAT and Isabel DUPUS REXROAT.
Survivors include: his wife, Inez; two sons, Lawrence and Alva; one daughter, Dixie; two brothers, Hershell and Guy, all of Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Lizzie GLASS DAUGHERTY, 106, Stilwell, were held at Salem Cemetery, Monday, September 14, 1992 with the Rev. Raymond GLASS officiating. Interment was under the direction of Hart Funeral Home. She was born on September 10, 1886, in Indian Territory to William T. GLASS and Cattwya FOSTER GLASS. She died Saturday, September 12 at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell. She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church.
She was married to John DAUGHERTY who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, two daughters, one brother and five sisters.
She is survived by: two grandsons, Paul and William; one granddaughter, Carol; and one niece, Rena, all of Oklahoma; one nephew, Henry of California; four great grandsons, Joe, Kenneth and Jeffrey, of Oklahoma and Michael of Kansas; four great granddaughters, Kathleen, Julie and Angel, of Oklahoma and Peggy of Kansas; and 19 great great grandchildren.

Services for Thelma Maxine EDWARDS, 63, Stilwell, were held Friday, September 11, 1992 in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Aaron BARTON officiating. Interment was in Caney Cemetery. Born March 22, 1929 in Welling to Claude and Ola (KIT MOORE) CAIN, she died Wednesday, September 9, at her home in Stilwell. She was a member of Light House Church. On May 27, 1944 she and Dallas EDWARDS were married in Stilwell.
Survivors include: her husband, Dallas; two sons, Dwayne, of Texas and Perry, of Oklahoma; six brothers, Freeman, James, Estell, Charlie and Larry, all of Oklahoma and Steve of Kansas; four sisters, Elsie, Loretta and Viola, of Oklahoma and Galela of Kansas; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

John Henry HUDSON, 74, an employee of Simmons Industries, died Monday, September 7, 1992. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

JORDAN
Services for Claud JORDAN, 90, Westville, were to be held Wednesday of this week at 2 p.m. in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel of Westville with the Rev. Boyce MOON officiating, and interment in the Old Baptist Mission Cemetery.
He was born May 24, 1902 in Adair County to Jeff JORDAN and Alice MORRIS JORDAN and died Monday, September 14, 1992 in Memorial Hospital, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He was married to Edna Mae RENTILE, who preceded him in death June 2, 1981. A lifelong resident of Adair County, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Westville. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Sarah JORDAN, Fannie ADAMS, Fairy NOBLIN and Mable MOSS; and four brothers, Bert, Henry, Bruce and Melvin JORDAN.
He is survived by: three sisters, Billie, Lola and Sevola, all of Oklahoma.

Ellen Louise THOMPSON, 75, a former resident of Stilwell, died Monday, September 21, 1992, at St. John's Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri, after a long illness. Mrs. THOMPSON was born January 28, 1917, in Oklahoma to Daniel GRIGSBY and Allie WHITE GRIGSBY. She grew up in Stilwell and attended school here.
She was married to Kenneth William THOMPSON in 1937 in Melrose, Kansas. They lived in Cherokee County, Kansas, and Marysville, California, before moving to Cherokee County, Kansas, in 1962. Her husband died January 5, 1983. Since then, she made her home in Columbus, Kansas.
She was a member of the Cherokee Baptist Church in Stilwell. Survivors include: one son, Daryell, of Kansas; one daughter Beth, of Kansas; three brothers, James and Aaron, both of California and Dean of Oklahoma; one sister, Crystal, of Kansas; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one infant sister.
Services were to be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday of this week at the Murdock Funeral Chapel in Columbus, with the Rev. Paul DUNCAN officiating, and interment in the Park Cemetery, Columbus.

GUTHRIE
Edie Virgil GUTHRIE, 84, died Friday, September 18, 1992, at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell. GUTHRIE, a retired lineman, was born July 4, 1908 in Russellville, Arkansas, to John GUTHRIE and Minnie JOHNSON GUTHRIE.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma; one brother, Alfred, both of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Monday, September 21 in the Roberts Chapel in Westville with Rev. Harold REED of Lincoln, Arkansas, officiating.
Interment was in the Westville City Cemetery.

LEE
Services for Leona May LEE, 88, Westville, were held Friday in the Hart Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Boyce MOON officiating. Interment was in the Westville City Cemetery.
She was born February 26, 1904 in Alvord, Texas, to Joseph Avery LEE and Nettie GRIST LEE and died Tuesday, September 15, 1992 in Washington Regional Hospital, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
She had been a member of the Methodist Church of Alvord before moving to Westville where she had lived the past 28 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Thelma; and one brother, Oscar LEE.
She is survived by two sisters, Pauline and Pearl, both of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.

BUTTS
Mrs. Emma Ruth BUTTS, 74, died Monday, September 7, 1992, at her home in Turley. Mrs. BUTTS was born January 3, 1918, at Oaks to E.H. FRAZIER and Victoria DAVIS FRAZIER. She was married to Vernon BUTTS on September 26, 1938, in Osage County.
Survivors include: two sons, Ron and Tommy, both of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one brother, Herbert, of Oklahoma; three sisters, Ruie and Sylvia, of Oklahoma and Neoma, of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters, Ellen FRAZIER and Edith PHILLIPS.
Services were held Thursday, September 10 in Turley with the Rev. Jack SAWYER officiating. Interment in the Haven Cemetery at Sperry was under the direction of the Johnson Funeral Home of Sperry.

FITTS
Billy Ed FITTS, 63, a native of Adair County, died Tuesday, September 15, 1992 in Cleveland, Oklahoma, after a long illness. He was born June 29, 1929 in Adair County to Cornellis Bernis FITTS and Clara Jane PADEN FITTS.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his foster parents, Myra and Edd MULLINS.
Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Mae; and two sons, Michael and Patrick, all of Oklahoma; two daughters, Clara of Texas and Tracie of Oklahoma; one brother Bernis of Texas; a foster sister, Colleen of Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; three aunts and two uncles,of Oklahoma.
He attended Zion Grade School and Stilwell High School before joining the U.S. Marine Corps in 1946. he was discharged as a technical sergeant in 1952 and worked as an electrician and power line contractor in Texas and Oklahoma. He was a businessman in Cleveland until ill health forced his retirement.
He was cremated in Tulsa and a memorial services was held at the home on Saturday, September 19.

ORMAN
Services for David Lee ORMAN, 77, Stilwell, will be held September 24 at Hart Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James SNOW and the Rev. Criss WALTERS officiating. Interment will be in the Stilwell City Cemetery.
He was born on June 13, 1915, in Winslow, Arkansas, to Andrew and Adeline MALONE ORMAN. He died Sunday, September 20, at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was a laborer and a member of the Westville Revival Center.
He was married to Mary Ruth WHITE on August 7, 1938 in Clifty, Arkansas.
 He was preceded in death by one son, Roy ORMAN, and by his parents.
 He is survived by: his wife; seven sons, Harvey, Bobby and Charles, of Oklahoma, Jimmy and Percy, of Texas, and Bob and Billy, of California; six daughters, Jewell, Darlene and Diane, of Texas, and Evelyn, Fairon and Frances, of Oklahoma; 60 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

PADEN
Catherine Faye PADEN, 81, a native of Stilwell, died Friday, September 11, 1992 in a Baytown, Texas, hospital. Mrs. PADEN was born November 7, 1910 to Bob and Louise BREWER in Stilwell. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Monk PADEN. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Baytown.
Survivors include: two sons, Leonard, of California and Thomas of Texas; five grandchildren; one sister, Viola, of Texas; and five brothers, Alfred, Wilford, Walter, Jim and Jeff, all of Texas.

He was born on January 5, 1910 in Stilwell, to Benjamin and Ebbie ELI SEABOLT. He died Wednesday, September 23, at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell. He was retired from Stilwell Foods and was a member of Guiding Light Church.
He was married to Emma MIDDLESTECKER in 1940. She preceded him in death on September 19, 1986. He was also preceded in death by a step-son, Martin BENGE; one brother, Jack SEABOLT, and one sister, Nancy DUCK.
He is survived by one sister and one nephew, Ben, of Oklahoma; and several cousins.

WORKMAN
Graveside services for Charlie Monroe WORKMAN, 62, Stilwell, were held Sunday, Septemer 27, 1992 at Hall Cemetery at Natural Dam, Arkansas, with the Rev. Wendell EX officiating. Interment was under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
He was born on February 15, 1930 in Adair County to James Blain WORKMAN and Kindless Mae EX WORKMAN. He died Friday, September 25, at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Lenor UNGER on April 1, 1949 in Van Buren, Arkansas.
He was retired after 30 years as a heavy equipment operator for Adair County. He was also a farmer. He was a member of the Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Margaret HART, 71, a resident of Westville, died Thursday, October 1, 1992 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Mrs. HART was born Decmeber 30, 1920 in Mobeetie, Texas, to Clonnie MCCORMACK and Lillian MAY MCCORMACK. She was employed as a secretary.

KINGKADE
A military style memorial service for Irvel Erman KINGKADE, 79, who was killed in a vehicle accident on September 28, will be held at 9:30 a.m. today at Elohim City, south of Stilwell. KINGKADE was accidentally run over and killed by a Chevrolet Blazer driven by his wife.

Richard Hal PACE, 86, a retired truck driver, died Monday, October 5, 1992 at Memorial Hospital, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. PACE was born November 14, 1905 in Holdenville, (Indian Territory) to Charles I. PACE and Rena Elizabeth DEASON PACE.
Survivors include: two sons, Russell and Larry, of Alaska; two daughters, Gertrude, of Kansas, and Syrena of Oklahoma; one sister, Florene of Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Thursday, October 8 in the Roberts Funeral Chapel in Westville with Rev. Boyce MOON officiating. Interment in the Baptist Mission Cemetery was under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home of Westville.

DIXON
Services for Herbert Leon DIXON Sr., 66, Watts, were held Monday, October 12, 1992, in the Hart Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ted TURNER officiating. Interment was in the Oaks Cemetery at Oaks, Oklahoma.
DIXON was born September 8, 1926 in Oaks to Oscar and Mamie COOMBS DIXON and died Friday, October 9, in Memorial Hospital, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
He was a 31-year resident of Watts, where he had been a dairyman, rancher and farmer. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church of Chance.
He was married to Velma Lee DILLON September 9, 1943. She preceded him in death June 5, 1990. Also preceding him in death were his parents and one son, Bob DIXON.
Survivors include: his wife, Anne Louise; one son Herbert Jr.; two daughters, Vera and Shirley; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Rose; and two brothers, Oscar and Otis, all of Oklahoma.

NORWOOD
Graveside services for Luther Martin NORWOOD, 78, Stilwell, were held Monday, October 12, 1992, at the Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, Arkansas, with the Rev. Randy PROCTOR officiating. Interment was under the direction of Hart Funeral Home. He was born on October 5, 1914 in Lincoln, Arkansas, to John Thomas NORWOOD and Mary MARTIN NORWOOD. He died Friday, October 9 at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell.
He served for 20 years in the U.S. Army and spent 10 years in civil service as a food supervisor in Panama. He was a member of the Retired Officers Assocation and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Willis Dean NORWOOD.
He is survived by his sister, Roberta, of Oklahoma; and several cousins and other relatives.

Nadine Ann COURTNEY, 55, died Wednesday, October 7, 1992 at her home in Park Hill. Mrs. COURTNEY was born February 28, 1937 in Park Hill to Billy MCKEE and Ella Mae JOHNSON MCKEE. She received her master's degree in education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. She taught school for 34 years, most recently at the Bell School in Adair County. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post 3707 and the Park Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. COURTNEY was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde COURTNEY, in 1989.
Survivors include: one son, Louis; her mother, Ella; one brother, A.C.; and one sister, Opal, all of Oklahoma; one grandson; three nieces; three nephews; two great nieces; three great nephews; and an uncle.
Services were held Friday, October 9, at the Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel in Tahlequah with the Rev. Don VARBLE officiating. Interment was in the Park Hill Cemetery.

BRADFORD
Carrie Etta BRADFORD, 82, a resident of Stilwell, died Wednesday, October 76, 1992, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Mrs. BRADFORD was born September 4, 1910 in Okmulgee to John MANTOOTH and Leona SHELLY MANTOOTH.
Survivors include: two sons, Dean, of Oklahoma and Johnnie of England; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one sister, Callie, of California.

BUTLER
Clarence (Red) BUTLER, 69, Chouteau resident, died Saturday, October 17, 1992, in the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. The son of Noah and Minnie BUTLER, he was born February 4, 1924 at Piney. He grew up in the Piney and Stilwell area where he received his early education. He joined the U.S. Navy, completing his education while serving in World War 11 from 1942-1946.
Survivors include: his wife, Melbajo; two sons, Ronald, of Oklahoma and Glenn, of Texas; one daughter, Margaret, of Oklahoma; one sister, Ollie Mae, of Texas; one brother, George, of Texas; three grandchildren; one nephew and one great niece.
Services were to be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Ivory Chapel of Petering Funeral Home in Muskogee with the Rev. S.J. COLBURN officiating, and interment in the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.

BEACH
Services for Myrtle BEACH, 66, Stilwell, were held Wednesday, September 16, 1992 at the Indian Methodist Church in Stilwell. Interment was in the New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Mrs. BEACH was born July 16, 1926 in Bunch to Watt and Betty WATERDOWN FLUTE and died Monday, September 14 at Stilwell Memorial Hospital. She lived all of her life between Bunch and Stilwell. She was a member of the Indian Methodist Church, past president of the United Methodist Women's Organization and the trustee board.
She was married to Leo BEACH, who preceded her in death in 1954. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Levim Mack and Richard FLUTE; a sister, Lizzie CRAWLER; and a granddaughter, Sandy Carol BEACH.
Surviving are: four daughters, Carolyn, Ramona, Debra and Patricia; three sons, Joe, Robert and Charles; and a sister, Sue, all of Oklahoma; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

VIOLA
Walburga VIOLA, 85, died Monday, October 19, 1992, in Watts. A rosary service was held Tuesday night in the Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and the funeral mass was scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Siloam Springs.

WRIGHT
Robert WRIGHT, 89, died Tuesday, October 13, 1992 at the Stilwell Nursing Home. He was a retired mine worker. Graveside services were held Wednesday, October 14, at the Honey Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home of Stilwell.

FORD
Graveside services for Wilma FORD, 74, Stilwell, were to be held Wednesday of this week at 1 p.m. at the Lenna Cemetery in Eufaula with the Rev. Dick FORD officiating, and interment under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
She was born on June 26, 1918 in Lenna, Oklahoma, to Roy and Nora DUNN PHELPS. She died Monday, October 19, 1992, in Stilwell. She was married to W.H. FORD on February 10, 1934 at Shell Creek, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1991. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ardel PHELPS; and one son, Orace FORD. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by: three sons, Arvle, Arlie and Marshall; and one sister, Inous, all of Oklahoma; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

WALKER
Services for Patricia Kay WALKER, 40, Tahlequah, were held Monday, October 19 in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel, Westville, with the Rev. L.B. WILDCAT officiating. Interment was in the Proctor Cemetery. Born January 10, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Warren Sheridan FAVOR and Doris Mae DUKES FAVOR, she died Friday, October 16, 1992, at her home in Tahlequah.
A loan teller with First Bank and Trust Co. of Tahlequah, she was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church of Christie.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Jerry FAVOR.
Survivors include: one son, Sean; and one daughter, Shay; her parents, Warren and Doris; and one brother, Wayne, all of Oklahoma; and several other relatives.

KIRBY
Billy Wayne KIRBY, 42, a flight safety electronic computer technician, died Sunday, October 18, 1992 at the Memorial Hospital, Springdale, Arkansas.
KIRBY, a veteran of the Vietnam War, was born December 27, 1949, in Westwood, California, to Robert KIRBY and Bertha ELLER KIRBY. He made his home in Westville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Sue KIRBY, in January 1985.
Survivors include: three daughters, Alyssa, Elizabeth and Morgan; his father, Robert and one brother, Robert Lee, all of Oklahoma. Nellie Pearl PATTERSON, 90, a native of Clark County, Arkansas, died Sunday, October 25, 1992 at her home in Tulsa. Mrs. PATTERSON, who was born August 24, 1902 to Jethro Wallace WHITE and Nellie Jane ANDREWS WHITE, is survived by: three sons, J.W., of Kentucky, and Darrell and Sammy, both of Oklahoma; two daughters, Betty and Mary Ann, both of Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and one sister, Kittie, of Oklahoma.
Services were held Tuesday, October 27 at the First Baptist Church in Stilwell with the Rev. Kent HOUSE of Tulsa and the Rev. Randy PROCTOR of Stilwell officiating. Interment was in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home.

Graveside services for William B. (Bill) SCHROEDER, 80 year old retired insurance salesman, were held Monday, October 26, 1992 at the Stilwell City Cemetery. The Rev. G.H. CRITTENDON and the Rev. Randy PROCTOR

He was born January 21, 1912 in Burlington, Iowa, and died Friday, October 23, at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
 He was married to Maxine BENNETT on November 18, 1961 in Stilwell. He was a retired insurance salesman and was of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War 11.
He is survived by: his wife; one son, J.D.; one daughter, Beverly; three granddaughters; and one great granddaughter, all of Oklahoma.

HASTINGS
Services for Aubrey L. HASTINGS, 74, Watts, were held Friday, October 23, 1992, in the Hart Memorial Chapel in Westville with the Rev. Ralph CANNON officiating. Interment was in New Hope Cemetery.
He was born September 9, 1918 in Chewey to William David and Betty Viola WEST HASTINGS and died Wednesday, October 21, in the Veterans Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He had been a lifetime resident of Adair County and a farmer in the Watts area.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clarence HASTINGS.
He is survived by: his wife, Wanda; one son, Rex, of Arkansas; three daughters, Barbara and Marilyn, of Oklahoma and Geraldine, of Arkansas; five sisters, Bulah, of Washington, Eula and Wilma, of Oklahoma, Modene, of California and Wyonna, of New Mexico; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Services for Paul STOKES, 79, Westville, were held Monday, October 26, 1992 in the Hart Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jim BEAVERS officiating.
Interment was in the Westville City Cemetery.
Born January 7, 1913 in Westville to Frank D. and Essie BROWN STOKES, he died October 23, in Memorial Hospital, Springdale, Arkansas. He had been a lifelong resident and dairyman of the Westville area.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Rufus STOKES.
Survivors include: companion, Fern; great nephew, Gary; and aunt, Nettie, all of Oklahoma; and sister, Ima Gene of California.

NUNN
Herman William NUNN, 80, a retired carpenter, died Friday, October 23, 1992, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
NUNN was born July 19, 1911, in Stevensville, Texas, to Joel Bedford NUNN and Lucy MCKENSIE NUNN.

Services for John Harley HICKS, 85, West Siloam Springs, were to be held Wednesday of this week at 2 p.m. at the Hart Memorial Chapel in Westville with the Rev. Walter HELMS and the Rev. John BUTTS officiating, and interment in the Westville City Cemetery.
He was born January 11, 1907, in Stanley, Arkansas, to Robert Alonzo HICKS and Rosa LEA HICKS, and died Sunday, November 8, 1992 in Memorial Hospital, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
He was a retired farmer and a resident of Westville for 45 years before moving to the West Siloam Springs area two years ago.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ercelle HICKS; and one brother, Horace Quinton HICKS.
He is survived by; two brothers, Orville, of Oklahoma, and Lavern, of  Arkansas; three sisters, Venda, of Arkansas, Sue, of Louisiana, and Londa of Oklahoma; and by one niece and one nephew.

SNELL
Services for James SNELL, 61, a former Adair County employee in commissioner's District 3, were held Monday, November 9, 1992 at the Illinois River Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond GLASS officiating.
Interment in the Thompson Cemetery was under the direction of the Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah. SNELL died Friday, November 6 at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Tulsa.
He was born August 29, 1931 in Adair County to Homer SNELL and Betsy OAKBALL SNELL. Raised in Adair County, he attended school at Wyandotte.
He was employed in District 3 for many years and was a former county representative of the Cherokee Nation. He coached Oaks softball teams for many years. He was a member of the Illinois River Baptist Church for 28 years.
He was married to Sarah Jane WHALER in 1949. She preceded him in death in 1987. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Sue SNELL, in 1951; and a son, Kaw-Liga SNELL, in 1977.
Survivors include: three daughers, Eva, Carla and Norma; and one sister, Martha, all of Oklahoma; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

MULLEN
Virgil Winford MULLEN, 81, a resident of Grove, died Friday, November 6, 1992 at a nursing home in Grove. MULLEN, a retired custodian, was born November 26, 1911 in Marble City to James Thomas MULLEN and and Sarah CONNOR MULLEN.
Survivors include: his wife, Ollie; three sons, Claude, of Louisiana, Paul, of California, and Frank, of Georgia; three daughters, Oleta and Evelyn, of Oklahoma and Virginia, of Arkansas; 20 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one sister, Laura of Oklahoma.

Nellie Valentine BRADFORD, 89, died Sunday, November 8, 1992, at her home in Stilwell. Mrs. BRADFORD was born February 22, 1903 in Yellville, Arkansas, to William THORNTON and Melissa MAXIE THORNTON.
Survivors include: six sons, Roy, Raymond, Eugene, Thomas, Cleo and Roscoe, all of Oklahoma; one daughter, Wilma, of Virginia; 34 grandchildren; 73 great grandchildren; three brothers, Louis of California, Carl, of Oklahoma and Cleo, of Kansas; and one sister, Della, of California.

Bertha Estelle SIMS, 75, a resident of Stilwell, died Thursday, November 5, 1992 at Stilwell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. SIMS was born April 19, 1917, in Houston, Texas, to Columbus Luther SAVAGE and Mary Alice WATKINS SAVAGE.
Survivors include: two daughters, Jimmie, of Texas and Marion, of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Neff, of Texas; and one sister, Mae, of Texas.

Mary B. JOHNSON, 81, a longtime Route 5 Vinita resident, died Saturday, November 14, 1992, at the Stilwell Nursing Home. She was born November 17, 1911, in Stilwell to William and Quatie Keys SNAKETAIL JOHNSON. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Vinita. She had lived on her farm in the Miles district most of her life. The family includes: one half-brother, Roy; two half-sisters, Maggie and Jackie, all of Oklahoma; and six cousins.
Services were held Tuesday, November 17 in the Luginbuel Chapel of Vinita with the Rev. Montie JONES officiating. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery of Vinita.

Interment was in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home. He was born January 1, 1947 in Tahlequah to Floyd and Ruby Neoma THOMAS SAMMS. He died Sunday, November 22 at the Memorial Hospital in Stilwell. He was a housekeeper at W.W. Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and Disabled American Veterans. He was married to Patricia O'NEAL on May 15, 1982 at Ewing Chapel. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his father, and by one brother, Goodloe SAMMS.
He is survived by: his wife; two daughters, Brandi and Sonya; one son, Ryan; two foster daughters, Danielle and Samantha; and his mother, Ruby, all of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.

MOODY
Larry Dean MOODY, 47, a 25 year veteran of the Tulsa Fire Department, died early Saturday after suffering a heart attack in Stilwell as he was preparing for a deer hunting trip.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; a son, Terry Joe; his mother, Lestine; and a brother, Donald. Services were held Monday afternoon at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Tulsa.

Joe Tommie WRIGHT, 63, a school teacher, died Saturday, November 28, 1992, in Hobbs, New Mexico. WRIGHT was born April 14, 1929, at Baron to Joe WRIGHT and Jennie Belle MITCHELL WRIGHT. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

FREEMAN
Serviced for Betty FREEMAN, 87, a resident of the Baptist Retirement Village in Owasso, were held Friday, November 27, 1992 at the Whisenhunt Chapel in Tulsa with the Rev. NOLAN
Weneford E. (Gene) NOLAN, 71, a native of Stilwell, died Tuesday, October 27, 1992, at his home in Littleton, Colorado. NOLAN was born August 31, 1921, in Stilwell, moved to Colorado in 1938. He spent five years in the military and served in Gen. George Patton's Third Army during World War 11. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was employed as a meat cutter for Safeway Stores and Ed's Meats of Littleton before he retired in 1983. He was married to Inola CANTRELL of Stilwell on September 6, 1942.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include; one son, Richard; and one daughter, Rodean, both of Colorado; five brothers, Byrl, Lenzy, Fate and Robert, all of Oklahoma and Emmett of California; three sisters, Regina and Edith of Oklahoma and Ermadee of Missouri; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held October 30 at the Olinger Funeral Chapel in Littleton with interment in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens there.

CLARK
Naomi Lois CLARK, 75, a native of Baron, died Sunday, November 29, 1992, at the Memorial Hospital, Springdale, Arkansas. Mrs. CLARK was born December 6, 1916 to Charley CAGLE and Bessie LITTLE CAGLE at Baron. Survivors include: one daughter, Olivene; two brothers, Marvin and Don; two sisters, Betty and Ina, all of Oklahoma; and three grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Leo CAGLE.

O'NEAL
Services for Edna Lucille O'NEAL, 81, Stilwell, were held Saturday, December 5, 1992, at Hart Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Audie VAUGHN officiating. Interment was in the Spade Mountain Cemetery. She was born January 28, 1911 in Cherokee County to Charles Edward THOMAS and Pearl Belle BOOTH THOMAS. She died Thursday, December 3 at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell. She was co-owner and operator of O'Neal's Grocery for many years. She was married to T.H. (Dolly) O'NEAL on April 29, 1929 in Adair County. He preceded her in death in 1980. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Curtis THOMAS and by one grandson. She became a Christian when she was a teenager and had been a lay minister, singer and Sunday School teacher for 27 years. She enjoyed arts, crafts, gardening and quilting. Since 1964 she had been a member of the Briggs Free Holiness Church.
She is survived by : one son, Noble; three daughters, Camilla, Wilma and LaVerna, all of Oklahoma; one aunt; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.

GRAYSON
Pauline GRAYSON, 66, died Wednesday, December 2, 1992 at St. Edward's Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mrs. GRAYSON was born June 2, 1926, in the Belfonte Community to John HARDBARGER and Peggy KILLING HARDBARGER.
Survivors, in addition to her husband John GRAYSON include: four sons, Alex, Joe, John and Tom; five daughters, Louise, Marylin, Dora, Liz and Sarah; three brothers, Albert, Sam and Ellis; and one sister, Betsy, all of Oklahoma; and 17 grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, December 5, at the Roberts Funeral Chapel in Stilwell with Brother George POLECAT and Brother Mike MCCONNELL officiating. Interment was in the Beaver Cemetery near Stilwell.

MINTON
Johnny Mack MINTON, 49, a former Stilwell resident, died Friday, December 4, 1992 at the Humana Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. MINTON was born December 23, 1942 to John MINTON and Effie COOK MINTON in Dallas, Texas. He was a car salesman in New Braunfels, Texas. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include: his wife, Trenna PRICE MINTON of the home; two daughters, Tammi and Shawna of Texas; three brothers, James of California, Jerry of Texas, and Joe of Washington.
Services were held Monday, December 7 at the Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels. Viewing of the body is from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home in Stilwell. Interment in the Chuculate Cemetery near Stilwell will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Bill WILEY officiating. Memorials are being made to the American Heart Association and the Hospice at New Braunfels.

BROWN
Lincoln Ira BROWN, Sr., 69, of Petersburg, Virginia, died Monday, November 30, 1992 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Stilwell and was the son of the late Elisah R. and Lotie DOANE BROWN. He was a retired employee of Continental Can Corp., served in the U.S. Army during World War 11, was a life member of Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma; daughter, Barbara; and son Lincoln, all of Virginia; two sisters, Elizabeth and Ruth of Oklahoma; and two brothers, Gaylord of Oklahoma, and Calvin of Virginia; and seven grandchildren.
Services were conducted Thursday, December 3, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home by the Rev. Barry PHILLIPS, pastor of Rosewood Presbyterian Church. Interment was in Southlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dinwiddie Rescue Squad.

Charles Levi GRASSFIELD, 71, a veteran of World War 11, died Thursday, December 3, 1992 at St. John Regional Medical Center in Tulsa. BRASSFIELD, a boilermaker, was born January 19, 1921 to Charley McClean BRASSFIELD and Zadie JONES BRASSFIELD in Muskogee.

Gonzales was born February 22, 1901 in Stilwell [Indian Territory], the son of Levi and Maggie MUSKRAT GONZALES. He died Wednesday, December 9 at Stilwell Memorial Hospital. A life-long resident, he was a farmer and was married to Mary CHUCULATE in 1930. He was a member of New Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in October of 1991; five children; four sisters; and three brothers.
He is survived by: one daughter, Clara KIMBLE, Bunch; three sons, Levi GONZALES and Senora GONZALES Jr., both of Stilwell, and Ross GONZALES, Bunch; a brother, Roach KILLER, Stilwell; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Ernest Anthony GIBONEY, 30, a resident of the Stilwell Nursing Home, died Tuesday, December 8, 1992 at the St. Edward's Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. GIBONEY was born June 28, 1962 in Bakersfield, California, to Ernest V. GIBONEY and Lovenia WILLIAMS GIBONEY. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by: a brother, David of Texas; three sisters, Sandra, Patricia and Carol of Texas; his paternal grandparents Russell and Norma of Oklahoma; his greadfather Arch of Oklahoma; several aunts, uncles, cousins and his family of friends at the Stilwell Nursing Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his maternal grandparents, Stephen B. WILLIAMS and Rosa MURPHY.
Graveside services were held December 11 at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home, with Brother John HUMMINGBIRD officiating.

DUNCAN
Graveside services for Lenora Bell DUNCAN, 74, of Pryor were to be held Wednesday of this week at 1 p.m. at the Honey Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Hubert SPONSLER officiating, and interment under the direction of Hart Funeral Home. She was born on September 30, 1918 in Peggs, Oklahoma, to James P. GIBSON and Liddie B. MILLER GIBSON. She died Monday, December 14, 1992 in the Indian Hospital in Claremore. She had worked as a counselor at the Whitaker State home in Pryor and attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her father, and two grandchildren.
She is survived by: her mother, Liddie BRADLEY, Sacramento, California; four sons, Dennis MIGGLETTO, Stilwell, Charles BURLIN, Pryor and Jim BURLIN, Chouteau; one daughter, Diane AUSTIN, Sacramento; one sister, Maxine LIPPS, Sacramento; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
