MAHAFFEY, David Monroe "Dave", died 07 Oct 1998 in Casper, Natrona
Co., Wyoming. He was born 12 Oct 1905 in Marlow, OK, to John Thomas &
Gertrude Evelyn (Thompson) Mahaffey. Married Una Harriet Uncaper on 24 Jun
1929. Una died in 1991.

CLARENCE HENRY "RED" PHILLIPS
CASPER, WY - Graveside services for Clarence Henry "Red" Phillips, 88, will
be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Highland Cemetery by the Rev. Bryant
D. Badger of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
He died Jan. 9, 2002, at Life Care Center of Casper, following 17 years of
illness.
He was born Oct. 22, 1913, in Valley Springs, Ark., the son of William Henry
and Mary F. (Gallagher) Phillips; and raised and educated in Bristow,
Oklahoma.
As a young man, he was a football and track star, once running against legendary
Olympian Jessie Owens.
In 1934, he married Mildred A. Baker. They moved to Casper in 1961.
He was known as a devoted father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bruce, Charles; three grandchildren,
Kim, Mark and Brad; 7 gr grandchildren; and 1 gr gr grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Norman; and sister, Ola
Waldrip.
