Jesse Cleveland YORK was Born in Ravia, Johnstone County, OK. Sept 9,
1904..
HEART ATTACK FATAL TO lEFORS RESIDENT:
Jess Cleveland York, 36 of LeFors, ided in a local hospital Monday evening
following a heart attack.
Mr. York was driving to Pampa with Mrs. York and a brother-in-law when he
was stricken with a heart attack. He was taken to the hospital where he died
one hour later.
Mr. York, who made his home at LeFors for the past 11 years, was employed
by the Panhandle Refining Company at LeFors.
Survivors are Mrs. York, two daughters, Loyas and Virginia and a son,
Kenneth.
Funeral arrangements are pendingthe arrival of relatives. The body is at
the Duenkel-Carmichael Funeral Home.
LEFORS OIL WORKER DIES OF ATTACK:
LEFORS, June 29 (Special)--Funeral services were held here Wednesday afternoon
at the First Babtist Church for J.C. York, 36 year old Lefors oilfiel worker
who died Monday evening at 8 o'clock from a heart attck while driving with
his wife and brother in law to Pampa. Rev. W.R. Lawrence, pastor of the church
conducted services. Stopping suddenly just inside ciyt limits at Pampa, Mr
York asked his brother in law to drive the car then slumped over in the seat
dying suddenly.
Mr. York had been a resident of Lefors for the past 11 years employed with
the Panhandle Oil and Gas Company residing east of town.
Surviving are his wife, two small daughters, Virginia and Loyce and a small
son, Kenneth.

Jim BURROW Rites Held Friday
Funeral for James H. (Jim) Burrow, 87, were held Friday at First Baptist
Church in Clyde. Burial was in the Clyde Cemetery, under the direction of
Bailey Funeral Home. Grandsons were pallbearers. Mr. Burrow died Thursday
in Clyde after a serious sickness of six weeks.
Born Dec. 30, 1875, in Indian Territory (Okla.), he moved to Scranton
in Callahan County in 1900 and to Denton Valley in 1907. He moved to Clyde
in 1924. He married Miss Irene HARLESS on December 8 1940 in Clyde.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ples Marion of Big Spring, Lawrence
Burrow (sic) of Odessa and Guy MARSHALL of Big Spring; two daughters, Mrs.
Clara FERGUSON of Eula and Miss Claudia Burrow; 11 grandchildren and 21
great-grandchildren.

Ida May GEORGE MOSS of Olustee, Jackson, OK who preceded her in death. Dovie
& Cary lived at Westville, Adair, OK from 1947 to 1961 until they moved
to Bandera, TX to be near their children.

EDWARDS
Services Held on Saturday
Funeral services were conducted for Jim Henry EDWARDS, 87, Saturday. Mr.
EDWARDS, a former Ravia resident, died Thrusday in Wichita Falls.
Rev. Mike MCCARTHICK officiated for services. Music was arranged by Mrs.
Beatric HERRON with the burial in the Ravia Cemetery. Services were
held in the Ravia Baptist Church. Watts Funeral Home was in charge
of arrangements. Mr. EDWARDS was born Oct. 4, 1888, in Marion, Ark.
He moved to Ravia, Johnston Co. as a young boy and was
raised there. He and Miss Emma ROMINES were married March
23,1913.
They maintained their home in Ravia throughout her lifetime. Mrs. EDWARDS
died July 26, 1969.
He was a farmer most of his adult life. He moved to Wichita Falls six
years ago.
Surviving Mr. Edwards are a daughter, Ruth AWTRY, and a son, O. J.
EDWARDS; nine grand- children and 19 great- grandchildren.
Casket escorts were Steve HURST, Doug FOSS, Ronnie SKINNER, Junior and Jack
GRAHAM and Pink HURST.

Falls since 1950, died in a Wichita Falls hospital. Services will be held
at 2p.m. Friday at Owens & Brumley Chapel in Burkburnett with the Rev.
T.L. "Bud" EDMONDS of Tyler, Texas and the Rev. Anthony Levell, pastor of
Woodhaven Baptist Church in Wichita Falls officiating. Burial will be in
Burkburnett Cemetery.
Mrs. DOWNS was born Feb. 4, 1912 in Eldorado, Jackson Co., Oklahoma. She
and Frederick Earl DOWNS were married April 1, 1934. She was a homemaker
and a member of Woodhaven Baptist Church.|
She is survived by her husband, retired oilfield driller, Fred E. DOWNS;
a daughter, Mrs. Francine McNett of Florida; a son, Fredie J. DOWNS of
Texas; a brother, L.B. BOREN of Texas; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren
and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by an infant daughter, Billie Joyce DUVAL in 1930
and her oldest grandson, Harold D. McNett in 1992.

Mr. Fred E. DOWNS, age 91, of Wichita Falls, Tx., passed away October 19,
1997, at a nursing home in Wichita Falls.
He was born January 29, 1906, in Tryon, Lincoln Co., Ok. He grew up in
Grandfield, Ok., lived in Burkburnett, and in Wichita Falls since 1950.
He worked for many years as an oilfield driller. He was a member of Woodhaven
Baptist Church. He married Hollene P. BOREN on May 1, 1934, and she died
in 1996. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Harold McNett, in
1992, and a great-grandson, Gabriel McNett, in 1976.
Survivors include a son, Fredie DOWNS of Tx.; a daughter, Francine McNett
of Fl.; a sister, Geneva Martin, of Ok.; five grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren.
|Funeral services Will be Tuesday, October 21, 1997, at Owens-Brumley Chapel
in Burkburnett, with Rev. Anthony Levell, Pastor of Woodhaven Baptist Church
of Wichita Falls, officiating. Interment will follow at Burkburnett
Cemetery.

Tily UNRUH OSBORNE died October 15, 1998 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Tily Roxene UNRUH was born November 7, 1932 to Elmer Dewey and Lida Lee ANDERTON
UNRUH at their farm in Beaver County, Oklahoma. She attended grade
school at Balko in Beaver County and graduated from Perryton High School
in Perryton, Texas in 1950.
On May 21, 1950, she married Thaddeus Morrison OSBORNE, Jr., son of T.M.
and Rachel COOPER OSBORNE. Three children were born to this marriage-- Debra,
Thad, and Mike. With the exception of two years lived in South Dakota, Tily
and Morrison were life long residents of Perryton. She was an active member
of the Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include Husband Morrison OSBORNE of the home Children daughter
Debra; son Thaddeus Morrison OSBORNE III; son Michael Lee; Five Grandchildren;
Father Elmer UNRUH of Perryton, Texas . one brother, Larry UNRUH OK;
one sister Cheryl UNRUH, CO.
Predeceased by her mother, Lida Lee ANDERTON UNRUH.
Services will be Saturday afternoon at the Full Gospel Church in Perryton.
Arrangements by Boxwell Brothers. Internment will be in Ochiltree Cemetery.
Memorials to Full Gospel Church in Perryton or Mercy Hospice at Mercy Hospital
in Oklahoma City.

Robert Gouin "Bob TAPLEY Sr. of Emory Texas, died October 20 in Greenville,
Texas. He was 87.
He was born on August 28, 1911 in Oklahoma. Mr. Tapley served in the
navy during World War II.
Survivors include six sons, Stephen, Douglas E., Donald D. , Robert G. Jr.,
Philip A. and Byron L.; one daughter, Patricia; two sisters, Grace and Anna
Mae; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Memorial services will
be December 21 at Maryland Veterans Cemetary in Crownsville.

Judson B. ALLSUP, of Dallas, Tex., died .
Judson was a brother of C. C. and Carl ALLSUP of Willow, and of Mrs. Ad HILL
of Carter. Mrs. HILL and Carl ALLSUP and Mr. Franklin ALLSUP, another brother
from McAlister.
Interment was made in the Spring Creek cemetery, Willow at which place the
deceased was given a Masonic burial, he being a member of that order at Dallas
at the time of his death.
Mr. ALLSUP was a single man was living with his mother at the time of his
death.

Private memorial services will be held for Syble Bonner, 66, of Wolfforth.
Cremation is under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at Covenant Lakeside in Lubbock.
She was born Sept. 19, 1932, in Garvin County, Okla., and moved from
Paul's Valley to Terry County in 1946.
She married Charles Bonner on June 30, 1974, in Terry County. She and her
husband owned and operated Bonner's Boot Barn in Lamesa. She had been a resident
of Lamesa for 25 years, prior to moving to Wolfforth in 1999. She was a
member of Church of Christ and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Linda, Charlotte, Rita and
Carolyn; two sons, Charles and David; three brothers; seven grandchildren;
and five great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Joe Arrington Cancer Center in Lubbock.

Fema Maggard, 93, of Amarillo, died Jan. 19, 2000. Graveside services will
be Monday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Field of Southeast Baptist
Church officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors
Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street.
Mrs. Maggard was born in Woodward, Okla. She was a homemaker and a
member of First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Henry Maggard, in 1980.
Survivors include a nephew, Mike Randall of Amarillo; and a great-niece.

LUCILLE MILLSAP PHILLIPS, age 76, passed away on July 18, 2005. Lucille was born
in Peggs, Oklahoma, raised in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She met the love of her life,
John Phillips Jr. in Oceanside, California. They married in 1954 and raised 5
sons in Lindenhurst, New York. The family moved to Cypress, TX in 1971. Lucille
was preceded in death by her parents Jesse & Vannie Millsap, her sister Lorraine
Medline, and her son Anthony Franklin Phillips. She is survived by her husband
John, of 51 years, sister Emma Cobb, sons Bill Phillips (wife Rita, children
Pam, Eric, Lawrence, Raul, & Rayes), Anthony's wife Kay (children Matthew, Shawn
& Elizabeth), David Phillips (wife Jessie & children Roy, Edward, Raymond,
Raynell), John Phillips III (wife Nanetta, daughters Jessica & Jamie), Andrew
Phillips (daughter Heather & friend Carlie), and numerous great grandchildren.
Lucille enjoyed visiting antique shops, fishing, and traveling around the
country. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a Cancer
Hospital of their choice. The viewing will be Wednesday, July 20th from 6-9 pm
and services will be held at 10 am Thursday, July 21, 2005. Contact Klein
Funeral Home for additional information.
