MADDOCK, RIDLEY, RUMBLE, STEPHENS, YOUNG - Wapanuka, Johnston Co., OK
Pendleton Record, Pendleton, Oregon Hoppy's Last Sunset, Virgil L. Ridley Hoppy Holligan (Virgil L. RIDLEY), passed away Monday, October 10, 1983 at Pendleton Community Hospital. He was born May 14, 1910 to James K. Polk Ridley and Minnie Francis STEPHENS, in Wapanuka, Oklahoma.
As a child he grew up in Bellview, NM and as a young man he moved to Rangley, Colorado. In 1949 he moved to Pocatello, Idaho where he was a house mover. He moved the first brick house in Pocatello. On October 5, 1951, he married Geraldine C. MADDOCK. In 1954 he left Pocatello, moving to Blackfoot, Idaho, where he farmed and raised livestock. In 1975 he moved to Pendleton to be with his brother-in-law Darwin RUMBLE. Hoppy's favorite past time was being with children. Wherever Hoppy was he always had a child with him.
Hoppy lived a very full and happy life and he left a big impression on every life he touched.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Ridley;8 sons,3 daughters;2 sisters; a brother;42 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many foster children. He was preceded in death by sons, Jerry Wayne and Donald Gene Ridley, and three grandchildren.
Burns Mortuary had care of arrangements with interment at Olney Cemetery on Friday, October 14.
Submitters Note: This obituary was incomplete, as it did not mention his first wife Mary Ethel YOUNG, whom he married on 19 May 1930 in Tucamcari, New Mexico. They were later divorced. She was the mother of Bill, Larry, Pat and LaJuana.

John REYNOLDS, a Redmond resident since 1987, died April 28 at Central Oregon District Hospital. He was 82. Graveside service was May 3 at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland, with the Rev. Jim Bennett of the Redmond Assembly of God officiating.
Mr. Reynolds was born Sept. 14, 1910, in Whitefield, Haskell Co., Oklahoma, to Allison and Sarah HARWOOD REYNOLDS. Mr. Reynolds moved to Redmond from Oregon City. On Dec. 18, 1987, in Redmond, he married Luemma, who survives.
He is survived by his first wife, Ruby Lee , who was born in Leflore County,OK. His second wife, Hilda Faye , passed away Nov.9, 1986.   Mr. Reynolds had been a farmer most of his life. He continue to enjoy gardening and was well-known as the man to call when a lawnmower needed repair.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Reynolds is survived by three sons, Dave, Gary and Allen ; five daughters, Freda Mae, Norene, Martha, June and Jeanette; 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Redmond Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

BOOR, EDWARDS, ENGLISH, FALKOWSKE, WALKER - Yale,  Payne Co., OK
In Memory of Minnie Josephine English, Harrisburg, Benton Co., Or. Minnie Josephine (EDWARDS) ENGLISH was born September 21, 1921 in Yale, Oklahoma to parents Albert (who was a Church of God minister) and Maggie EDWARDS. When she was 13, the family moved to Canon City, Colorado. she met her husband to be at the   Bassett, Nebraska Camp Meeting in August 1940. Lee and Josie were married on her birthday, September 21, 1941 by Elder Frank Walker, who had also baptized her. They have three children: Naomi, (who married Charles WALKER,) Virgil (who married Patsy FALKOWSKE), and Alice (who married Jerry BOOR). They have six grandchildren. Josie had contributed to the Felowship Herald through the years, both church reports and articles. She loved Camp meetings and seldom missed except in the last several years when she became too ill to attend. After 53 years of marriage, she died on January 5, 1995 in Junction City, Oregon.
Services were held at the Harrisburg, Oregon Church of God, 7th Day.

Mr.& Mrs Pace were Parents of 10 Children, Six of which were born in Bache,Oklahoma,Pittsburg Co. Three Born in Wewoka, Oklahoma, and One in Fruita,Colo. Theodosha May HALCUMB PACE born in Dixie co 1894. Married in Krebs, Ok. 1911. Died in Adams Ore 1979.

Memorial services for Billy Joe GLASS, 67 of Florence will be held  today  at Burns's Riverside Chapel.
He was born March 15, 1931 in Stratford, OK and died Jan. 9, 1999 in Florence.
Survived by daughters, Mary JACKSON; Amanda LUMBARDI; son, Howard GLASS;  sisters, Mary WARREN; Geneva Laidi;  Mowre GLASS; Eva Nell O'CONNER; and  brother, L. W. GLASS and mother, FLOIE GLASS

Funeral services for Retta May Roe, 82, of Coos Bay, will be held June 14, 1999, at Coos Bay Chapel.
Interment will be at Ocean View Cemetery.
Mrs. Roe was born May 19, 1917, in Adkins, Okla., to Leroy and Tibetha Dysart. She died June 8, 1999 in Coos Bay, where she had lived since 1941.
She was married to the lat Hiram Roe, who preceded her in death in 1985.
She is survived by her sons, Johnnie, Leonard, Floyd and Lloyd; daughter, Florence; sister, Bessie; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Arraingments are under the direction of Coos Bay Chapel, 267-3131.

Funeral services for Era Fay Smith, 82, of Winchester Bay, will be July 1. Interment will be at Port Orford Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was born June 24, 1917, in Bryant County, Okla., the daughter of Thomas and Monnie (Qualls)Dykes. She died June 26, 1999, in Winchester Bay.
She married Lester T. Smith in Idabelle, Okla., on Oct. 3, 1932.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty and Darla; sons , Jimmy, Frank, Steve, Tom, Jerry and William; brother Thomas Dykes, Brookings; sister, Lena Shaw, Medford; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester, in 1998; son, L. T. Smith; and seven siblings.
Arrangements are under the direction of North Bend Chapel, 756-0440.

Talent, Oregon

Born to Claude and Georgia Willa Keeling on June 23, 1938 in Hartshorne Oklahoma, passed away Thursday June 21, 2005 at Providence Medical Center.
Married to Ernest Orbry Kuykendall Februrary 23, 1953 in Pertallis New Mexico.
Located to Ashland Oregon in 1967 and after raising 3 children, all of whom gratuated from Ashland High School, started a career with Rogue Valley Medical Center Dietary Department.
She worked for Dietary 14 years.She touched many lives while working at RVMC
never forgetting to say, "Well, bless your heart."
She was to retire in 1999 after the loss of her late spouse Ernie Kuykendall
in 1999.
Mom suffered with infarct dementia and fought a courageous battle against
the disease.
She never let her "beautiful smile" fade through it all.
She was to family and friends a matriarch comparable to none.
Her love for others glowed and warmed those around her for an eternity. We
will keep her memory alive in our hearts.
She is survived by 3 children. John Kuykendall, Talent Ore., Jack
Kuykendall, Eagle Point, Ore., and Debbie "Baby" Kuykendall, of Medford,
Ore. respectivly. Also 3 siblings Pat Largent, Enid Oklahoma, Claude Glenn
Keeling, Collingsville, Oklahoma and Ben Lee Keeling of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
"Granny-Choo-Choo" has 5 wonderful grandaughters, 3 great grandchildren whom
she loved "Bunches and Gobbers." The extended family and friends are countless.
Services for Betty will be Friday July 29, 11:00am at the Medford Friends
Church 525 Debar in Medford, Oregon
