HEUSTIS
Charles A. HEUSTIS, 88, retired Deary, Idaho pastor died August
20, 1985 of causes related to age.
HEUSTIS moved to Deary , Idaho in 1936 from Oklahoma. He retired in 1962
from the Washington-Idaho-Montana Railroad. He was born Feb.28, 1897 at
Cincinatti, Arkansaw to David and Alberta Diment Heustis.
He was a World War I veteran.
Heustis married Ruth FOWLER Nov. 18, 1923 at Westville, Oklahoma. She survives
at the family home. Other survivers include five sons,Chester, Donald, Vernon,
Olliver and Kenneth; three daughters, Oleta Pointon, Lillian Griffin and
Lucille McGraw; sister, Viola Schuste; 22 grandchildren and 16
great-grandchildren. two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be at Short's Chapel at Moscow, burial will be at
the Deary Pinecrest Cemetary.

Ruth M. Heustis, 88, a long time Deary, Idaho resident died of age related
causes saturday at the Moscow Care Center.
She was born Dec 31,1905 to Allen and Dehlia EVANS FOWLER at Watts, Adair
Co., Oklahoma.
She married Charles A. HEUSTIS Nov. 18,1923 at Westville, Oklahoma. They
moved to Helmer, Idaho in 1836 from Chance, Oklahoma.in 1938, they moved
to Deary, where they lived until their deaths. He died Aug .20, 1985.
She was a member of the Living Word Baptist Church at Lewiston.
She is survived by five sons, Chester, Donald, Vernon, Oliver and Kenneth;
two daughters, Oleta Pointon and Lillian Griffin; a brother, Charlie
Fowler of OK; 22 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 3
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter,Lucille McGraw on Oct. 29, 1993 and
three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Wednesday at Shorts Funeral Chapel
with paster Ron Budda of the Living World Missionary Baptist Church officiating,
burial will follow at Pinecrest cemetary in Deary.

HUMPHREY, SMITH, TAYLOR - Mustang, Canadian Co., OK
Alma L. (TAYLOR) HUMPHREY, 85, recently moved to Lewiston
Alma Lee Humphrey of Lewiston, a homemaker, died Saturday at Sun River Manor
of causes related to age. She was 85.
She was born August 13, 1912 to Allie and Pearl SMITH TAYLOR at Mustang,
Okla. She lived in Mustang until she was 7 years old. The family then
moved to Chico, CA., where she graduated from school. She moved around California
and worked various jobs until she married Fred Humphrey on August 17,1974
at Carson City, NV. They moved to Reno, NV. He died Dec. 2, 1988. She moved
to Lewiston in May 1997. She enjoyed traveling and reading.
Survivors include a daughter of Lewiston, ID.; and a son of Medford, OR.;
and two grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the North Idaho Alzheimers
Assoc., 1916 Lakewood Drive, Coeur d' Alene, 83814. Vassar-Rawls Funeral
Home at Lewiston is in charge of arrangements.
