Columbus W. LOY was born September 22, 1843, in Randolph County Indiana, died January 16th. 1916, age 73 years, 3 months and 24 days. He was married to Louisa M. HILL, October 26,1864, at Delphi, Indiana. To this union, ten children, five boys and five girls of which seven are living, four boys and three girls, He was at one time a member of the Dunkard church. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.W. Martin at the Presbyterian church.

Mr LOY was and old settler in this county, a prosperous farmer and stockman, well known and esteemed by a host of friends.
His death had been expected for a week before it came. Many regret his passing and sympathise with the bereaved family.
The four sons and two son-in-laws acted as pall bearers to request of the deceased. Peace to his ashes. The Herald extrends its sympathy to the bereaved ones.
