B.D. WRIGHT died Friday morning of congestion of the stomach at his home
on the E.A. MURRAY Farm, northwest of Fletcher at age 53 years. He was sick
only about 24 hours. The body was buried Saturday in the Fletcher cemetery.
He is survived by his wife and nine children; Allen Duncan, Dora Fay, Birtie
Kendyton, Sherman, Della, Juel Ray, General, Freddie and Mildred, all at
home with their mother. Also one step-daughter, Mrs. Cecil MURPHY. His first
wife is decease. He was a member of the Holiness Church.

Services Held Thursday For Betty SIMPSON
Funeral services for Betty Jo SIMPSON, 48, Elgin, who died Monday
in an Oklahoma City hospital after a brief illness, were held at 10 a.m.
Thursday in Sterling Methodist Church with the Rev. Ralph PATTERSON
officiating. Burial was in Celestial Gardens Cemetery of Cyril under direction
of Robbins Funeral Home of Fletcher.
Mrs SIMPSON was born August 3, 1934, in Eagle Town. She grew up in
the Fletcher-Cyril area. She had lived in Elgin for the past 22 years. She
was retired from the civil service at Fort Sill. She was a member of the
Ellsworth Outcast CB Club.
She married Harold Ray SIMPSON December 15, 1950, in Sterling. He
died January 21, 1979.
Survivors include 3 daughters, 1 son, her mother, 3 sisters, 2 brothers,
and 8 grandchildren.

Funeral Service Held Monday For Ward BARTLETT
Funeral service fro Clarence Ward BARTLETT, 85, Fletcher, was held
at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 1994, in the Fletcher Assembly of God Church
with Rev. Robert WHITLEY, pastor, and the Rev. Larry THOMAS,
pastor of Elgin Assembly of God Church, officiating.
He died Friday morning at his home in Fletcher after a lengthy illness.
Burial was in Sterling Cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home,
Fletcher.
He was born in Garber, Oklahoma, on March 12, 1908, and had lived
in that area until moving to Fletcher in 1921 with his parents. He had lived
in the Elgin-Sterling-Fletcher area since that time.
He married Mildred Bernice ETTER in Mar 1951, in Lawton and worked
for L.D. WHITLOCK Trucking from 1952 until 1961. He also worked in
the oil and gas fields. He retired in 1961.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred, of the home; 3 daughters; 3 sons; 1
brother; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Millie BARTLETT;
1 son, Carol Ward; 4 brothers; Floyd, Charlie, Dane, and Herbie, and 2 sisters;
Eunice MC MURTRY and Mabel KELLY.

Funeral Services Held Friday For Ruth SEYMOUR
Funeral services for Ruth Pauline SEYMOUR, 87, Lawton, were held at
1:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 1995, in Robbins Funeral Home Chapel, Fletcher,
with the Rev. Robert WHITLEY, pastor of Assembly of God Church, Fletcher,
officiating.
Mrs. SEYMOUR died Tuesday, February 26, 1995, in a Lawton nursing
home.
Burial was in the Rush Springs Cemetery, Rush Springs, Oklahoma, under the
direction of Robbins Funeral Home, Fletcher.
She was born April 5, 1907, in Duncan, Oklahoma. She was raised east of Duncan.
She attended Gatlin School north of Duncan. She married John H. SEYMOUR
on August 16, 1925, in Rush Springs. They lived in Fletcher from 1932
until 1959. Her husband died May 19, 1959. She then moved to Lawton where
she had lived since. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church,
Fletcher.
Survivors include a son, 1 brother, 2 sisters; 15 grandchildren; 25
great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by 1 son, Melvin
L. SEYMOUR, in January 1977.

Funeral Services Held Wednesday For James Edward SEYMOUR
Funeral services for James Edward SEYMOUR, 59, Georgetown, Texas,
former resident of the Fletcher/Cyril area, were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday,
November 8, 1995, in Robbins Funeral Home Chapel, Fletcher, with Rev. Mike
TOMPKINS, pastor of First Baptist Church, Fletcher, officiating
Mr. SEYMOUR died Sunday, November 5, 1995, in Austin, Texas,
following a lengthy illness.
Burial was in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery, Cyril, Oklahoma, under the
direction of Robbins Funeral Home, Fletcher.
He was born January 26, 1936, in San Bernardino, California. He was
raised in the Fletcher-Cyril. he had lived in El Paso, Texas, and later in
New Mexico and due to his ill health moved to Georgetown, Texas, in May of
1991. He was married to Georgia SMITH and later to Cordia BAILEY.
Mr. SEYMOUR was a great enthusiast of Grey Hound racing and was a
member of Texas and National Grey Hound Association for many years.
Survivors include his wife, 6 daughters, 1 son, 3 sisters, 1 brother, and
11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Thomas Calvin, Alvin Ray, William
Jackson "Jack", Walter Robert "Bob", and Todd, 2 sisters, Betty SIMPSON
and Sharon K. SEYMOUR, and 1 grandson, Pete BOYCE.

Funeral Services Held Monday For MR. Thomas SELF
Funeral services for Thomas L. SELF, 57, Cement, were held at 2 p.m.
Monday, January 20, 1997, in the Assembly of God Church, Cement, with Rev.
Ted MERCER, Grace Fellowship Church, Anadarko, and Rev.Sanford
YARBROUGH, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Celestial Gardens Cemetery, Cyril, under direction of Robbins
Funeral Home, Fletcher. Mr. SELF died in an Oklahoma City hospital
Wednesday after-noon, January 15, 1997.
He was born September 7, 1939, in Cement, Oklahoma, and grew up there.
He married Patricia FLATT on May 25, 1962, in Cyril. He lived in Tulsa,
Texas and farmed there for 12 years and in Little Rock, Arkansas, before
returning to Cement in 1980. He worked for Young's Well Service in
Cement and later Shiflett Transport Service in Fletcher, until illness forced
his retirement in 1996. He was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church,
Anadarko.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, two brothers, and one sister.

Friday For Louise Evelyn YATES
Graveside services for Louise Evelyn YATES, 77, Mission Viejo, CA,
will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 24, 1997, Sterling Cemetery, under
direction of Robbins Funeral Home, Fletcher, Oklahoma. Mrs.
YATES died Sunday, January 19, 1997, in California. Funeral services
were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the O'Conner Funeral Home in Laguna Hills
Mortuary.
She was born April 6, 1919 in Oklahoma and grew up and lived in Sterling
until moving to California in the 1940's. She married Robert Frederick
YATES. She was a self-employed seamstress. She is survived
by her husband, 2 daughters, 1 son, 3 sisters, 1 brother, 1 grandchild, and
3 great-grandchildren

Robert PENDERGRASS, JR.
Funeral services for Robert Lloyd "Bobby" PENDERGRASS, Jr., 54 Rush
Springs, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 17, 1997, in Fletcher Assembly
of God Church, Fletcher, Oklahoma, with Rev. Larry HATFIELD, pastor
of Grand Avenue Assembly of God Church, Chickasha, Oklahoma, officiating.
Burial was in Sterling Cemetery, Sterling, Oklahoma, under direction of Robbins
Funeral Home, Fletcher, Oklahoma. Mr. PENDERGRASS died in a Chickasha
nursing home Wednesday, January 15, 1997. He was born April 16, 1942, in
Abilene, Kansas and lived in Georgia where he attended high school and college.
He married Mildred L. BARTLETT on Jul 28, 1973, in Fletcher and they
lived in Elgin, Wichita Falls, and Houston, Texas, and in Georgia, before
moving to Chickasha in 1994. (he has been in a Chickasha nursing home.)
Survivors include his wife, 1 daughter, 2 sons, his father. He was
a football, baseball, softball, and soccer referee.

Marguerite J. JACOBI
Funeral mass for Marguerite J. JACOBI, 100, Sterling, was held at
11 a.m. Wednesday, January 22, 1997, in our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic
Church, Sterling, with Rev. Thomas O'TOOLE, officiating. Burial
was in Sterling Catholic Cemetery with Robbins Funeral home, Fletcher, in
charge of arrangements. Mrs. JACOBI died in a Lawton nursing
home Sunday evening, January 19, 1997, from a length illness. She was born
in Chicago, Illinois, and came to the Sterling area with her parents at age
seven. She married Oscar Joseph JACOBI in Sterling in 1916. They operated
a general merchandise store in Sterling for many years. Mr. JACOBI
preceded her in death in 1960. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual
Help Catholic Church in Sterling.
Survivors include 2 daughters, 1 son, 19 grandchildren, and 21
great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in
death by one son, Oscar JACOBI, Jr., and one daughter, Helen
JOHNSON.
