J.D. HUDNALL
Funeral to Be Held Satuday at Walters Chapel; Hour of Service Not Announced
Jeff Davis HUDNALL, age 72 years, 8 months and 6 days, died about nood today at the home of his son, John HUDNALL, 609 North Cleveland. Mr. HUDNALL had been in ill health since January.
Funeral services will be held sometime Saturday at the Walters Chapel, according to information received from the C. C. Walters Funeral Directors who are in charge of the funeral. The hour of the funeral has not been set. Interment will be made in Soonerville.
Mr. HUDNALL was born in Sumter, Co. South Carolina on July 3, 1860. He has lived in Payne county since 1905, however, he has lived in Cushing only a short time. His occupation in life was that of a farmer.  
Besides his wife, Mrs. J.D. (Dolsa) HUDNALL, he is survived by five sons, Mode H. HUDNALL of Tulsa, Bennett, Jess, Walter and John HUDNALL and three daughters, Mrs. Fred (Mary) CAMPBELL, Mrs. Benton (Ella) CAMPBELL and Mrs. Roy (Alma) CURTIS.

ATHA ELLEN (MCLAURY) BOATRIGHT

"Mrs. Atha Ellen *(McLaury) Boatright*, wife of Robert. Guy
*/Boatright/*, a pioneer of Cushing and outstanding for unselfish
devotion to church, family and friends, died at 10:45 P.M. Wednesday at
the local hospital.

"Mrs. *Boatright* came to Cushing at the age of 6 with her parents, the
late Rev. and Mrs. D. A. *McLaury*. Her father was a pioneer minister
and one of the organizers of the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Boatright was
a charter member of this church and a devoted worker until her health
prevented. She served for a number of years as stewardship secretary of
the church and was voted an Honorary Membership on the Board of Foreign
Missions.

"Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church at three
o'clock tomorrow with the Rev. Lewis R. Rogers, pastor in charge of the
service. Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery.

"Surviving relatives include the husband, R. G. Boatright, one daughter,
Mrs. Phillip J. *Wells*, three sons, Glenn L, Pasadena, Texas, Richard
M., Colorado City, Texas, Robert, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, five brothers,
*/Guy L., Elmer R., Hugh T. and Sheldon McLaury/*...all of Cushing and
*Edwin McLaury* of Bartlesville, four sisters, Mrs. Floyd *Griffith*,
Cushing, Mrs. Harriet *Morgan*, Bacone University, Muskogee, Mrs. Leo
*Applegate*, Drumright and Mrs. B.E. *Naugle*, Boulder, Colorado. She
also had eleven grandchildren.

"At one time, Mrs. Boatright belonged to several local organizations and
was active and generous to marked degree in participation in all their
activities. Besides her church societies, she had belonged to the
D.A.R., the Hypatia Club, the P.E.O. and the Eastern Star. In recent
years ill health caused her to resign from several of these groups.

"While Mrs. *Boatright* was in the local hospital only one week, she
spent some time at the Mayo Clinic one year ago and had been in failing
health since.

"Born in Carroll County, Mo., June 21, 1886, Mrs. *Boatright* came to
Cushing with her parents at the age of six. She was married to R.G.
*Boatright*, June 9th, 1909. They lived in Cushing all of their married
life and reared a family here.

"In countless ways Mrs. *Boatright* was a unique and unusual person. She
often said that her church came first, yet, she had a wide circle of
friends and many relatives, with all of whom she kept in very close
touch. She was also possessed of business ability, having assisted her
husband at times in selling real estate and having dealt in antiques.

" 'I am rich, you know� is one of her remarkable statements. 'We have
enough to give and share and for ourselves. It is such riches compared
with some days, which I remember. I am glad that I am a pioneer and can
remember. It makes me know that I am rich!'"

DAVIS Dies, Rites Set For Tuesday 2 P.M.
Daisy May (BLACKBURN) DAVIS 73, a former Cushing resident, died Friday night in the Okfuskee County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Clayton Tinnell, Jr., pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating.  Internment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. DAVIS was born on October 18, 1903, in Taney County, MO. and came to Oklahoma in early life and lived in Cushing area for many years. She has lived in Okemah for the past five years. She married Joe L. GOODMAN and he preceded her in death. She was married to Harold DAVIS here in Cushing and he preceded her in death. She was a member of the Christian Church.
Surviving are four nieces including Margie (Mrs. SUMNER) POWELL of Cushing; one nephew and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son.

* Boatright *Services Set Tuesday

"R(obert). Guy* Boatright*, 95, 604 E. Oak St., a long time Cushing
resident, and businessman, died Sunday, Dec. 16, in the Cushing
Municipal Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 2 p.m.
in the First Presbyterian Church with Reverend A. Keith Allison, pastor,
officiating. Burial, under direction of the *Davis Funeral Home*, will
be in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

" The body will be taken to the church on Tuesday at 1 p.m. to lie
in state and the casket will not be opened following the service.

"*Boatright* was born April 5, 1885 (sic, actually 1884) near
Garnett, Kan. He came to Cushing in 1905, working as a telegraph
operator for the Santa Fe railroad. He was married to Atha Ellen
*McLaury* on June 9, 1909 here in Cushing and she preceded him in death
on March 2, 1949. He was in the insurance and real estate business here
in Cushing for 45 years, retiring in 1957. He was married to Clarice
*Hurst* on September 8, 1950 in Cushing.

"He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, serving as Elder
from 1913 through 1956, holding the office of Clerk for many years. He
also served as a member of the Oklahoma City Presbytery for 15 years. He
was elected. Treasurer of the Cushing Board of Education in 1921 and
served in this capacity for 40 years. He was one of the original
organizers of Cushing Savings and Loan Association, serving for the
first 10 years of its existence.

"He was a Master Mason in 1909, received the Capitular Degree of
Masonry at Cushing in 1924 was Commander of the Cushing Commandry
Knights Templar in 1937 and he was a member of the Consistory at
Guthrie. He was a member of the Cushing Rotary Club from 1921 to 1962
and served as president in 1944-1945. He was a member of the, Cushing
Chamber of Commerce during his business years.

"Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Clarice *Boatright* of the home; two
sons, Glenn L. *Boatright* of Pasadena, Texas, and Richard M*.
Boatright* of Kerrville, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Laura Lou *Wells* of
Cushing; two step-sons, Edgar *Hurst* of Drumright, and Thomas J.
*Hurst* of Pratt, Kan.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Gertrude *Erwin* of
Cushing, and Mrs. Louise *Prichett *of Tulsa; 12 grandchildren; 20
great-grandchildren and other relatives.

"He was preceded in death by a son, Robert G*. Boatright*, Jr."

Following information from a memorial service card

WINGFIELD
Dennis L. Wingfield, a long time Cushing resident died Sunday morning, March 18, 2001 in the St John Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years.
The son of the late Oscar Wingfield and Lillie (Parker) Wingfield, Dennis was born on January 1, 1928 in Cushing, OK. He and his family had moved to Ripley, where he was reared and educated.
Dennis was united in marriage to Martha Bowlen and to this union one son, Larry, was born. He later was united in marriage to Joyce Corkins, and to this union, three children, Denise, Jeff, and Cindy were born. Dennis later married Wynola Simpson.
Dennis had worked in the oilfield before entering the United States Navy on March 6, 1946. After serving in World War II, he returned to Oklahoma to continue working in the oilfield industry. 
Dennis loved to garden and raise cattle. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 108.
He is survived by his two daughters, Denis and Cindy; two sons, Larry and Jeff.; one stepdaughter, Drexel; three sisters, Doris, Shirley, and Karen; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his jparents, Dennis was preceded in death by his wife Wynola Wingfield and two brothers, Bill and Jerry Wingfield.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 20 at the Fairlwan Cemetery, Cushing, OK with Rev. Ryan Humble, of the Free Will Baptist Church of Oilton, officiating.
