Kingfisher County: Cashion

BUTCHER, Rebeccah A. Mrs. BUTCHER, who has been sick for sometime, is very
low not expected to live very long at this writing.
We learn, as we go to press that Mrs. Rebeccah A. BUTCHER died at her home
northeast of Cashion. She wa a pioneer to this country. Obituary will be
published next week.
Funeral services will be held this Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Christian
church.

RICHTER, BECK, MEINZER, HAMMOND
Minnie J. RICHTER was born at Itseho, Germany, april 17, 1863. She came to
America in 1887 locating in Abilene, Kansas where she met and later married
Geo. M. BECK on March 5, 1889. To this union were born seven children, five
girls and two boys. One of the girls died in infancy two grew to womanhood,
and bore children and left them, to pass on to the eternal realms beyond.
Two daughters remain to mourn the loss of their mother, Mrs. Lilly Meinzer
and Miss Rilla Beck, also two sons, Jake and Raymond, her husband and six
grandchildren, one of whom is little George P. Hammond, who looked upon her
as a mother, having been in her care since infancy. She was christened and
later confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and lived a devoted life of faith,
in her God and Savior.
She died Tuesday afternoon, March 28, 1922, at the age of 58 yr., 11 mo.,
11 days. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Cashion Thursday
morning at 10:30.

JENNINGS, SHORT, SHADDEN
Lydia JENNINGS was born at Tomkinsville, Kentucky, March 4, 1858. She was
converted into the Christian Faith at Buffalo, Mo. in the year 1880 and lived
a devoted Christian life until her death, March 28, 1922, at Isabel, Kansas
thus being at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 5 days.
She leaves to mourn their loss one son, John Henry SHORT, of Oklahoma City,
a daughter, Jossie SHADDEN, of Riverside, Oklahoma, a number of grandchildren
and a host of friends.
The body was bought to Cashion for interment beside her husband who preceeded
her about five years ago. Services were conducted by Rev. Anthis at the M.E.
Church Thursday afternoon.
