James emigrated to Ireland, and thence, in 1805, to America, where he settled at Germantown, Columbia Co, NY, about 1813 he moved to Lebanon, Warren Co, OH, thence to Dearborn Co, IN, and finally, in 1842, to Morgan Co, IN where death laid claim to him. He was by trade a weaver. His family comprised of 7 children--John b 1805 in Ireland, Nancy b 1808 in Germantown, Columbia Co, NY or Warren Co, OH, James b 1810 in Germantown, Columbia Co, NY or Warren Co, OH, William b 1813 in Warren Co, OH, Robert (my ancestor) b 1815 in Warren Co, OH, Elinor or Ellen b 1818 in Dearborn Co, IN, and Harvey or Henry b 1821 in Dearborn Co, IN.
