There is a farmhouse, a barn, and a silo on the same land where Jacob Jackson's house used to be on Entz-Shawhan Road, which is off of SR 28.
According to the 1867 map, Jacob M. Jackson owned a 120 acre farm on Entz-Shawhan Road and a 75 acre field behind his farm.

Here are two Jackson photos that I would like you to add to the Jackson Family Photo Gallery. Mr. S. Mac posted these photos on William Bennett Jackson (1819 - 1895) and Elizabeth Jamieson Jackson (1827 - 1899) Find-A-Grave memorials. I asked him for permission for WCGS to post these photos to their website. He wrote in reply:

“RE: Rev William Bennett Jackson: You certainly may use the photo of the Jacksons however you wish. I "fell heir" to some Jamieson family photos, and fortunately many were identified years ago. The Jamiesons were a well-known family in Batavia, Clermont Co, Ohio; and I have posted a few other photos of them. William Bennett just happened to marry a Jamieson; I know very little about him. I am glad that such photos can be shared. I do have in my records that William Bennett Jackson married Elizabeth Jamieson on 10 Oct 1854 in Clermont Co, Ohio. I don't know if they had any children. I'm not sure if he was preaching in Urbana, but both he and his wife evidently died there.”

Mr. S. Mac wrote that as a young man 40 years ago, he was friends with an older couple in his hometown. He eventually bought their house. In the attic, there were many identified old family photos left behind of local families. Fortunately, the names of the people in the photos were written on the back of the photos. That was how he was able to identify Rev. William Bennett Jackson and his wife Elisabeth Jamieson Jackson.William Bennett Jackson, a son of Edward Jackson and Hannah (Bennett) Jackson, was a Methodist-Episcopalian minister who belonged to the Presbytery of Cincinnati. He was the brother of Jacob M. Jackson (my great, great grandfather), who established the Wesley Methodist-Episcopal Chapel near Level Station in Harlan Township. He was also the brother of Andrew Jackson (my great, great, great uncle), who was the Worshipful Master for the Edenton Lodge #332, F&AM of Ohio. He and his wife Elisabeth (Jamieson) Jackson are buried in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana, Champaign County, Ohio. They did not have any children.

I found the following information on a Rev. William B. Jackson in "Introduction to the Early Minister List of Miami County Ohio" at http://www.thetroyhistoricalsociety.org/m-county/ministers.htm. It stated: “Jackson, Rev. William B., denomination: Methodist Episcopal. First licensed in Brown Co. on 23 Nov 1850, licensed by county to preform marriages on 23 Nov 1864.” I don’t know if this Rev. William B. Jackson in Miami County, Ohio, is the same person as Rev. William Bennett Jackson, my ancestor. Urbana is in Champaign County, and I could not find anything on the Internet about Rev. William Bennett Jackson in Champaign County. I don’t know if he was a minister for a Methodist-Episcopal Church in Brown County, in Miami County or in Champaign County.

Mary Ann (Jackson) Spence (1841-1934) & Emma (Jackson) Walters (1852-1928)
8 May 2016 email from Charlene "Cece" (Martin) Frey

"Mary Ann (Jackson) Spence is the woman on the left. She was eleven years older than her baby sister Emma (Jackson) Walters, who is on the right. I got permission to use the picture from Nancy Tuttle Hale, a great, great granddaughter of David and Emma (Jackson) Walters. On 31 May 2015, she wrote: “Yes, please feel free to use any pictures that I post.” She posted this picture and other pictures of the Walters family to Ancestry.com. I think this picture should go on the Jackson Photo page, since Mary Ann and Emma were the sisters of Granville Jackson and the nieces of Andrew Jackson and William Bennett Jackson. I will be sending you more pictures of the David and Emma (Jackson) Walters family at a later date.

Mary Ann Jackson was born on 19 Jan 1841 in Salem Township, Warren County, Ohio. She was the seventh child of thirteen children of the union of Jacob M. Jackson and Delilah Williams. She married Gustavus A. Spence on 2 Sep 1860 in Warren County, Ohio. Her husband was a musician who was a member of the Level Silver Cornet Band. They had a family of five children - Scott E., born 25 May 1861, died 9 Jan 1883; Oliver M., born 7 Jan 1865, died about 1926; Ida M., born 3 April 1867, died 24 Sept 1880; Isaac D., born 22 April 1872, died 1889; and Grace D., 11 April 1874, died 31 Dec 1939. Mary Ann (Jackson) Spence died on 14 Feb 1934 at the age of 93 at the home of her daughter Grace D. (Spence) Leever, who lived in Norwood, Hamilton County, Ohio. Mary Ann outlived all of her twelve siblings - five brothers and seven sisters. Mary A. Spence (1841-1934) is buried in Wesley Chapel Cemetery along side her husband G. A. Spence (1838-1907) and their children Dyer Isaac Spence and Ida May Spence."
