      " . . . Vaughn, a Lebanon resident and firefighter, rescued 120 soldiers and Vietnamese civilians by braving the attack at Kham Duc on that hot May day. He was rewarded for his bravery with the Distinguished Flying Cross and was recently inducted into the Ohio Military Hall of Fame.
      " Vaughn served a total 24 years in the Air Force and Air Force Reserves, first enlisting in 1962. . . ."
