My g-grandfather, Pvt. Martin SAUM, of Co. C of the 35th OVI married Mary Eleanor THOMAS at Seven Mile in Butler County in 1865. Her brother was named Alfred Abraham THOMAS [b. 07 Oct 1850 in Butler Co.]. Her father, William Boyd THOMAS, was born in Hamilton, Butler, OH on 03 Oct 1826. His father, John Hardmann THOMAS, was one year old when his parents [unknown] moved from PA to Butler County in 1801.
