John W. Wroten died at the South Family,
in Union Village, on Wednesday morning,
March 14th, in the eighty-third year of his age. He is well remembered
in Lebanon, of which place he was for many years a resident. At the corporation
election held April 4, 1870, he was elected Mayor of the village, which
office he filled until January 12, 1871, when he resigned on account of
his health. Shortly after this he joined the Shaker
Society and remained with them until his death. |
