Charles H. Kunkle (1831-1882)

Charles H. Kunkle died in Deerfield Township, Warren county, July 15, 1883. He was born at Allentown, Pa., Nov. 27, 1831, moved to Ohio in 1852, and settled in Butlerville, Warren county, where he married Miss Matilda Doughman, who, in sorrowing widowhood, survives him.
After a few years' residence in the West, Iowa and Illinois, he returned to Warren county and settled in Deerfield Township in 1867, where he resided until his death. He served a time in the United States Navy, during the late war, on the Ohio and Mississippi rivers.
He was a member of the M. E. Church from 1856 to the day of his death, and, when he died, was a member of the Board of Trustees of Union Chapel, Miami Circuit. He was a good man, a kind husband, tender father and reliable friend.
