I have just returned from the Ironton area and I was able to locate an obit for the Frank Kelly you have pictured in Mrs. Simpson's Boarding Club. He attended N N U even though his obit stated Lebanon.

also, he is buried in Woodland Cemetery section "C". I have taken a photo (I think) of his tombstone but haven't processed the film yet. Thought you might like to add this to your site. I have the actual copy of the obit from the paper but I have to solve a problem with my scanner.

  Frank J. Kelly

Frank J. Kelly, 87, died at the home of a son William C. Kelly.

Mr. Kelly was born December 9, 1870 in Coal Grove, son of the late Luke and Anna Rowe Kelly.

He was married to Ethel Hatcher in 1900 and she preceded him in death in 1946. He resided most of his life in Coal Grove until 1914 when he moved to South Point.

Mr. Kelly was a member of the South Point Baptist church and Masonic Lodge in South Point. He was a graduate of Lebanon College, Lebanon, O.

He formerly taught in county schools and was principal of South Point High School. he also was a former county superintendent of schools. He retired as a teacher in 1928 after 30 years of teaching.

Surviving in addition to the one son, is another son, Frank G. Kelly, also of South Point.

The body is at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home pending completion of funeral arrangements.

Mr. Kelly was a veteran of the Spanish American War.
