Suicide at Union Village.

Harry Fahle, aged forty, a German who has lived for five years with the Center family at Union Village, committed suicide Wednesday of last week by hanging. About noon he was found swinging in an abandoned blacksmith shop by Thomas Milrey, who gave the alarm. The unfortunate man was past medical help when cut down, but the body was still warm, which showed that he had not been dead long. Fahle had a severe attack of the grip last winter and he never recovered from it, his mind having been affected by the disease. All that to known of his former history is that he was born in New Orleans and that he worked before joining the Shakers in the queen city dining rooms at Cincinnati. As far as is known he had no living relatives.

Coroner Carey viewed the remains and his verdict is suicide by hanging. The rope used was four strands of binder twine woven together. The Interment was made at Union Village.
